Questionable decision-making and very inconsistent touch. His accuracy has come and gone on him a couple of times as well.

Another pick. The WR was WIDE OPEN!

He wasn't by the time McElroy threw it.

If he'd had fired it out of there as soon as the corner bit on the fake screen, his receiver had 1 man to beat to house it.

Instead he waited too long (sound familiar?), !@#$ed up the read and floated it to a waiting safety.

I don't think he's the same kind of athlete. I also think is arm is a little better.I'm not sure he could sustain the kind of beating that Roethlisberger has taken in his career behind what's been a petty bad line for pass protection. I've always been real impressed by his ability to prosper despite that.

I think it was to his benefit that the line started better and declined, as odd as it sounds to take that. If he was taking the beating he took the last four years in his first two, he might not be the same QB.

Looks like Luck/Mallet may be similar to the Bradford/Stafford debate from a few years ago (that never materialized when Bradford stayed in). Well, like it should have been but/for the morons that ignored Bradford because he played in a spread.

Luck looks to be a more accurate, smarter QB with a little less arm strength. Mallet looks to be the cannon-armed gunslinger w/ some accuracy and decision making concerns.

Eh, even if we get a chance at one, we won't take him.

haven't watched luck much, but he's more in the more of Ryan, i think...pro-style, cerebral, accurate...

I see a lot of the same things in Locker and Gabbert.

Gabbert's bigger but apart from that, they're both guys that struggle with their reads and consistency.

With Locker, I think he'll have a smaller learning curve than Gabbert because of the offense he runs. Locker has a true POS outing on his resume, but if Gabbert plays against Nebraska like he played against San Diego State, his day will look just as bad.

Then again, this is all subject to my whims on any givne week. Conference season will tell the tale on this one. Either Gabbert can step up against the big boys, or he's gonna be saddled with the same question marks.

Arkansas is gonna need at least a TD, and probably more, to finish Bama off.

P.S. - If 'Bama wins this game, I see no way they aren't the national champions, I just don't see how they lose a game at that point.

That defense is ferocious and the running game is the best I've seen this season. Not sure why they just chose to put it in their QBs hands on 1st and goal from the 7, but they'd have scored if they just fed Ingram.

It's the best team in the country, IMO, but Petrino is coaching the pants off Saban and the atmosphere in that stadium is electric.
