And, as I was just explaining to the Mane, if the Chiefs don't win those games their opponents are 4-5...if the Niners don't have a thousand turnovers last week they're 5-4...if the Browns make a couple more plays in week 1 and 3 they're 7-2...if the Chargers had stopped two special teams plays they're 8-1...the Chiefs were home dogs both times -- they are far exceeding expectations in terms of stats, wins, and they're overall play...good for them!

Probably best to throw out the games against KC all together and say we've beat teams that are a combined 1-5 against other teams.

But going into the season, San Diego and San Fran were nearly unanimous picks to win their divisions. And Cleveland was on the road after a very emotional win on a very late Monday night. Tough circumstances. Nothing to apologize for, no matter how watered down it may seem to JW.

We're all trying to figure out how good the Chiefs really are. There are reasons for cautious optimism and reasons for pure caution. If we were the types that could just sit back and wait to see how things turned out, we wouldn't have anything to talk about.

I agree that we are still trying to figure it out. But to say he is unimpressed because opponents are 1-8 doesn't work. Anyone who is watching at all can see we are much improved... through three weeks... over what the product on the field the last three years has been.

If your team, which gave up a record rushing day the last time we met, can stop the run against the best rushing team in the NFL, you have a good chance of winning. That's a very astute observation.

If I can catch a hellfire missile and throw it back and hit the helicopter that fired it, I should be able to win a fight against an Apache.
