We entered this season with a whole bunch of unknown commodities. If they panned out, it was bound to result in good things, because none of our opponents knew what to expect, or who to expect it from.

Weis and Crennel both brought new schemes. There's not enough film of these guys running their schemes with our players for opponents to get a read on us.

Moeaki and McCluster aren't being given the respect they might eventually earn. They're drawing single coverage. Especially Moeaki, because he's raping everybody out there.

Defensively, Jovan Belcher and Derrick Johnson are destroying shit. Well, no one knows who the fuck this Belcher dude is. Johnson looks like a new player.

For all we know they might have a few surprises left - Jeremy Horne, Andy Studebaker.

SURPRISE, BITCH!

Well, it might have been a surprise. Now, you've let the proverbial cat out of the bag. Let's just hope it has teeth unlike luv's pussy.

Combine the player's talent with Haley's riverboat gambler mentality, and it could give other coordinators the sweats.

I agree we have surprised quite a few with what we have done. However, surprises don't last all season, and if the best we have held back is Jeremy Horne and Andy Studebaker, this season will go down hill in a hurry. Also the other up side is, if people start respecting the other players, it should free up the ones everyone knew about (Bowe, Chambers, Hali, and Charles is who I am thinking of).

I think you have a combination of a few things...

1) Low expectations from other teams, media, fans, etc
2) New coaching staff, bringing new looks, tough to game plan for early
3) New young players, see reasons for #2
4) 1-8: Combined record of the Chargers, Browns & 49ers
5) 2 of 3 at Arrowhead

The schedule is what it is... you take advantage of it and do what you have to do. Prior to W3, the offense was the glaring black eye and thanks to the 49ers proving that their sad trend is a brutal reality, they suck - on offense and especially on defense.

The 49ers are tied for the most PA allowed in the league - and their PF is horrible. Who knew they would truly suck this bad... or that SD would be playing well below expectations again during the early part of the season?

KC's bye week comes at a great time - nobody really expected 3-0, but they are there and they have a tough stretch of games coming out of the bye.

So, the element of surprise... don't make it out to be something magical, KC isn't doing anything really that is tricky, new or spectacular... they're holding up well on defense, playing solid special teams and the ground attack is doing well for that offense. And, they're winning the games that teams are supposed to win - against mediocre or worse teams and at home.

Yep, except KC is/was supposed to be the "mediocre or worst" team - not picked to win in all 3 games.

Fuck Peyton Manning.

Brandon Flowers is gonna be Manning's new Ty Law.

Run all over their ass and keep that egg head off the field.

Yes, we now have weapons in all 3 phases of the game and something big will happen in 1 of them or in all 3.

Our Chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.

Amongst our weaponry are such diverse elements as: fear, surprise, ruthless efficiency, an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope, and nice red uniforms...
