I find that hard to believe. Doughnuts and coffee don't put you in the hospital. They put you in the front seat of a squad car.

I hope he gets healthy. But I am not worried about him going else where. Yesterday had Haley's stamp all over it IMO. Romeo is the one that we need to keep around.

Weis has undisclosed health problem

Chiefs coach Todd Haley acknowledged Monday that offensive coordinator Charlie Weis has a health issue but added that the undisclosed condition is not life-threatening.

Haley didn't say whether Weis would be available for practice this week, or whether he would be with the team after this weekend's open date, when Kansas City begins preparing for a road game against Indianapolis.

"Health, that's a family-business deal," Haley said. "That being said, there is nothing life-threatening, heart attack-related, any of the couple things that have been brought to my attention regarding Charlie. I will make that statement."

Weis, 54, has had other health problems in recent years, most notably when he was in a coma for two weeks in 2002 after gastric bypass surgery went awry. He also has a history of knee problems, and he hurt a knee shortly before training camp this season. He has said that he's putting off surgery until the offseason, and he has gotten around with the help of a cane and a motorized cart.

He's been credited with some of the Chiefs' turnaround, helping Haley develop a scheme that has been, if imperfect, good enough for Kansas City to start 3-0 for the first time in seven years.

In unrelated news.... Charlie Weis gave his approval of the new Red and Gold Short Rib Melt on Sunday... Sources say Weis approved of the new sandwich about 6 times throughout the day.

Its amazing that he's a multimillionaire and still horribly obese. I know he had that failed gastric bypass, but damn man, theres no excuse for him to be that fucking big.

Good thing we have a bye next week.

Yeah, i was worried that the bye could hurt our momentum, but now it's looking like a damn good thing it came when it did. Especially since we will need every bit of those two weeks to prepare for a road trip to Indy. damn I wish they were coming to Arrowhead. If we beat The Indianapolis Mannings on the road, I'm gonna tattoo 4-0 on my GFs ass, and fuck her brains out while doing the chop, and singing the Indian chant from that Enigma song.

Chiefs' Weis has emergency gall bladder surgery (http://www.kansascity.com/2010/09/27/2256158/chiefs-weis-has-undisclosed-health.html)
By KENT BABB
The Kansas City Star

Chiefs offensive coordinator Charlie Weis had emergency gall bladder surgery Monday morning, more than 48 hours after being diagnosed with an infection, Weis’ agent, Bob LaMonte, told The Star.

LaMonte said that Weis, who has been with the Chiefs since January, began suffering Friday with an infected gall bladder but chose to delay surgery until after Sunday’s home game against San Francisco, which Kansas City won, 31-10.

“He didn’t bother to do anything other than live through 48 hours of pain,” LaMonte said Monday evening. “He knew he was coaching on Sunday.”

Weis admitted himself into a Kansas City-area hospital on Monday morning and is expected to be released Tuesday, LaMonte said, adding that Weis isn’t expected to miss any games.

“He’s a tough dude,” LaMonte said.

Chiefs coach Todd Haley was asked about Weis’ health problem Monday afternoon but wouldn’t discuss the condition, other than to say that Weis wasn’t suffering from a life-threatening issue.
