I'd have to agree with neon. Higher than 34. MAYBE top 10. Def top 20. Rod Woodson got...jew....gyp.....uh screwed too.

I'd say top 10 if he could tackle. Give me Rod Woodson all day long, or Darrell Green for that matter.

It's too bad nobody ran bubble screens back in Deion's day

Derrick Thomas wasn't on the list so either he is in the top 30 or these people are idiots. Why is Tony G. so far down? Hasn't he broken just about every record a TE can possibly get?

He had good ball skills and anticipation for INTs but he couldn't I mean wouldn't tackle wut a wuss.

Tony Gonzo WOOT He deserved his spot, little bit surprized he was at 45, there are a lot of good football players that could have been higher than him.

Woodson should have been higher imo.

Who knows how great Jim Thorpe actually was, or if there was footage of him he could have been top 10 easy.

Deion can die in a neon aids tree volcano fire for all I care.

Call it karma. Dude pimped himself so much during his career that now he is being undervalued afterward. Karma is a bitch.

Steve Young 80. Wat?
I wasn't a fan, but?
Troy right beside him with three rings. I never thought he was great, but the rest of the world sure seemed to.
Never liked either, but it seems kinda low for em.

Let's take this scenario...you're facing prime Randy Moss, Jerry Rice. Who do you want covering him?

Which era? Can the corners be physical or no contact?

I'm guessing that the top 10 is powned by 9rs. Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott. I'm thinking Otto Graham could be #1?

DT should be in top 20, LT maybe top 5 player. Reggie White hasn't been mentioned yet he would be deserving top 15-20 imo.

Albert Lewis baby should be in the next teir as well, especially for his block punts and CB play. That guy could play damnet!!!!

Young Dale Carter. He'd chop block those two on running downs.

Ill say Physical, let you add in any player of any era though that you'd like by their build/attitude, how they would do. If that makes sense.

The thing that worries me about DT, not making the list is that he wasn't a HOFer in his first year of elegibility. He had to wait several years after elegibility & I think that could damper his chances somewhat at being on the list? Hope he is on the list that would be freaking awsome but who knows? He was that damn good though.

Deion wasn't physical at all. If I could have anybody and they could play rough, Rod Woodson.

Yea whether you like Deion or not, the guy was an incredible player, most CB's don't tackle well so I'll take a shitty tackler/one of the best cover guys ever over a solid cover guy who tackles well.

It's not that he tackled poorly.

It's that he was a pussy who avoided contact.

It's tackle football.

Pussies have no place in the top 100, I don't give a shit how good he was at coverage.

No championships and no playoff wins. In fact he's never lived up in the big game and shrinks. Where say a guy like Shannon Sharpe dominated games in the regular season and playoff winning 3 Championships and playing a major role. Rod Smith should be ahead of him as well. This is nothing more than a popularity contest.

TG's numbers are inflated because he played with shit quarterbacks.
Elite quarterbacks don't usually throw 1,000+ receptions to tight ends.

You really aren't that smart , are you. You see, the team that TG played on tried to play fair and not cheat to win championships or SB's. But since your expectations of winning at all cost means accepting cheating, it's OK to allow yourself a free pass to greatness with some players in sports.

Coming from a Donkey fan, we understand your comments and take them with a grain of salt, lemon juice, whatever we must take to consume it.

Yep, only crappy QBs throw to TEs. That's why Rivers and Gates hook up all game long and toast defenses. I KNEW RIVERS WAS CRAPPY!

I'll bet if Neon had played for our team, we'd be backing him. I know we're not into flashy people, but he was a true "shutdown" corner, so regardless of his tackling skills, he was rarely thrown at. I'm like most of the rest of you, on a personal level, I can't stand him. Then again, there are a lot a former players in the broadcast booth who I can't stand.

If Deon avoid hiting Neon is at 34 Albert Lewis should be top 20.

Albert Lewis did a hell of a lot. I hated him going to faiders but he is still one of my favorite Chiefs he could do any thing. He blocked quite a few FGs iirc.

Bruce Smith at 31 probably negates DT being anywhere on the list at this point. Particularly when they tout Bruce for his run stuffing AND having the most sacks [recorded] in NFL history. That coupled with playoff success suggests he grades out higher than DT for these folks.
