Life Any Sport Bike Riders? [Archive]

I live north, just outside of liberty, and am curious as to if there are any board members that are sport bike riders. I have a hayabusa, and would be interested in a few people to join in riding some of the the letter highways outside of liberty (O, H, etc).

I don't get crazy, but I enjoy the curves . . .

Back in the day I only rode rice rockets,but I'm all HD now.Old and slow I guess.Good luck.

Been there. 94. Ninja ZX7RR. Multiple skin graphs, lots of physical therapy. I like to think I'm smarter now.

Did you see the guy that went off the bridge a couple nights back? The guy I normally ride with hung it up becuase of that. Check out kansas City Sport Bike forum for full details if you are interested.

I did the Fayetteville ride two weeks back (830 miles in 3 days). TONS of bikes. Little sturgis.

The HD crowd seems to be watered down now days with that 'status' symbol it's become.

I suppose I'm lucky in that that I don't worry about being cool, I like what I like.

Old? I'll hit 40 next year. It's why I have a big, comfy, bike. Oh yea, it's fast too. ;-)

2.I'd still have a burner,but I'm too frigging ignorant. I had a CBR 1100xx back in the day and had some $ in some aftermarket work done.I'm lucky I'm not in a box after some of the shit I pulled on it.

I'm hoping to do an RCC stage 1 turbo over the winter. I'm pulling just over 200 HP now, the turbo calls to me greatly.

I won't stretch or lower though, I like track day and the curves too much.

I ride an HD... it's not about a status symbol. I just like the old skool looks of my bobbed Sporty. :D

My first sport bike was a Honda Interceptor.

Heck, I ride with a couple gold wing trikes on a regular basis. You are MORE than welcome. If you like some fun curves you might want to give this a try.

My first one was a KZ400. I saw one on craigs list the other day listed as a 'cafe racer'. About choked laughing so hard. Moved from there to a FJ1100 (very advanced bike for the time), and a few others before the ZX7RR. None compare to the 'busa, though.

Dunno if I would giggle at that as long as it was done right.

That's sweet.This is the only pic I have of any of the sport bikes I had.This was my first one.92 CBR F2 600. I had a 600 F3,900 RR,1100 XX,RC51 after this one over the years.

No kidding, that is almost exactly the bike I had, and it's also the bike advertised. I have a picture of it on my other laptop, becuase it so closely resembled the bike I had.

Hence, my almost fatal laughter at the 'cafe racer' tag.

If anyone is interested, there is a small group of us meeting at the QuickTrip on 291 in Liberty tomorrow at 9 am. The ride will be about 1 hour or so. We'll be back in plenty of time to see the chiefs open the (small) can of whoop arse.
