The damn Chargers may never do crap in the playoffs, but they seem to be masters at turning things around in the regular season. it would be huge if Houston could knock them off, but with Rivers chucking the ball....I ain't so confident of that. I am just hoping that we take care of business at this point.

Chargers 7-2
Raiders 5-4
Chiefs 2-6
Broncos 1-7

Explain that to Indianapolis. The Chargers should defeat the Texans as long as they don't shoot themselves in the foot... (which of course is not a given). Their offense always scores enough points to win... (no matter who Rivers has out there to throw to).

This may not be bad for the Chiefs but definitely bad for the Chargers if:

Chiefs lose to the Raiders

and

Chargers lose to the Texans

which means the Chargers will have to overtake two teams rather than just one.

if we lose tomorrow you think Todd won't have them going for blood the next week

Chargers have shot themselves in the foot a ton. Especially on the road. I don't think Gates is gonna play or if he does how affective he will be. He's got 2 bad feet. I think Houston wins.

It is definately going to be an interesting Sunday.

Rivers weapons for today's game:
WRs= Patrick Crayton, Seyi Ajirotutu, (Gary Banks)
TE = Randy McMichael, (Kris Wilson)
RBs = Ryan Mathews, (Mike Tolbert), (Darren Sproles)

Sproles is currently 2nd on the team in receptions with 28, (after Gates 48).

Only six teams will make it from the AFC. Looks like the Colts, Texans, Jets, Pats, Ravens, and Steelers all have good teams and who I consider the teams with legit playoff hopes(obviously a couple of those teams won't go). I don't believe the Chargers will be competing for the playoffs this year, just my take.

So you're saying you're more worried about the Chiefs battling for a wildcard (presumably because the Raiders have won the AFCW) than you are that the Chargers could turn it around? :spock:

I have a question about yardage stats.

If a return man (say like the Eggos guy) catches the kickoff 2 yards deep and returns it to the 20, the NFL posts that as a 22 yard return.

However, if a running back takes the ball from the ... say 50 ... and runs it into the endzone, that's just a 50 yard run ... even though he may have run 2 yards deep into the endzone which would have been actually 52 yards of actual running.

So, you get credit for the extra yards if you're exiting the endzone, but not when you're entering the endzone ... or so it appears. Is that fair?
