Not sure I give Margarito much of a chance, in all fairness, I don't know a TON about Margarito, but Margarito hasn't fought a fight in nearly two yrs. lol... Unanimous decisi, I take Pac.

Anybody know more about this Margarito? What's the story there......?

But yeah, I think Pac wins this, based on my Ltd. knowledge.

Margarito is a tough fighter wit an excellent chin but he won't be able to grind it out against Pac. He has spent too much time dealing with his cheating/Suspension issues and will be irrelevant after Pac-man hammers him.

I don't know if it will but I hope so. Floyd is smart and he knows that even if he beats Manny he stands the chance of looking bad and losing some of his luster.

Well for years Margo was supposedly one of the most feared and avoided men in boxing. He offered Floyd 8mil to fight him around 4 years ago and floyd turned him down (that was before the Floyd vs Oscar fight). He is a large man for the 147 division, and I wouldn't be surprised if he was weighing in around 155-160 on fight night.(unless there is a contracted prefight weight that I don't know about)

As for his style. He is a mauling, prodding beast, with a solid chin, and a very nice uppercut. He is slow, but doesn't stop punching, and that is usually how is wins come, he wears guys down. Now that was the Margo of old, since he was caught cheating and lost to Mosley, he had the one fight where he looked okay, but not great.

As for the fight. I am a big Pac fan and think that he will win fairly easily. I don't think that Margo will be able to put a whole lot of leather on Manny and Manny will be able to throw a couple shots and get out quickly. I think Pac will end up with a UD.

Manny COULD run into one, especially against a SLOPPY yet steady hard-hitting opponent, I don't think i'll make a huge effort to see this one, yet, will be interested in the outcome.

Indeed. Marg has a size advantage as well.

I think Pac will give it all since it's reportedly his last fight.

I also hope he sticks it to Gayweather but not sure if that fight will happen.

Pac squashed the retirement rumors today, saying he'll fight 2 or 3 more fights.

I'm convinced Floyd wants none of Pac.

Might be his only shot at beating Pacman really. Having said that even when he doesn't have plaster in the gloves he's still a tough fighter and quite scrappy I'd say. However I still think Pacman wins tonight. Hopefully Mayweather will have the stones to sometime soon make a fight happen between the two of them. I do have my doubts though that such a supermatch will ever take place.

Kinda what I'm thinking as well. You'd think though or for that matter at least hope that for the kinda money they could draw from that fight alone that it would be a no brainer for both camps just to sit down together, hammer out the details and just make it happen. It all comes back to the olympic drug testing though. Even though Pacman has budged a bit from his initial stance of not wanting it at all. As many have said I think part of it is Mayweather also just wants nothing to do with Manny. On a side note that's about the only boxing match on the table right now that I would even consider shelling out money for the PPV. I suppose I wouldn't mind seeing Saul Alvarez get in a few more big fights and then step up to challenge Mayweather either. Alvarez has impressed me everytime I've seen him fight. Of course that has mainly been on the last few undercards for big fight's like tonight. The kid is young too (like 22 or 23 I think)...the sky's the limit for him as long as he keeps working his game to get better.

Controversy brews over supplement

ARLINGTON, Texas -- Controversy erupted Saturday night before Manny Pacquiao and Antonio Margarito even got in the ring.

A weight loss supplement was seen in Margarito's dressing room before the fight, and Pacquiao's team demanded that he be tested before the fight for possible banned substances. Texas officials, though, said the testing would be done after the fight as usual.

The weight loss supplement was reportedly Hydroxycut, sold over the counter.

Margarito struggled to lose the last few pounds this week to make the 150-pound contract weight for the fight.
