Fuck the Cowboys.

Fuck the Lions.

And FUCK THE NFL FOR SUBJECTING US TO THESE SHITBAGS EVERY GODDAMN YEAR.

The worst part is, these ghastly, horrendous teams played each other LAST WEEK. Why the hell couldn't they have scheduled that game for TODAY and then, maybe, just maybe, for once, given us a game somebody gives a shit about between other teams?

And to everybody who says "It's a tradition," FUCK YOU TOO. This "tradition" needs to go the way of bloodletting and 8 track tapes.

As with every year, best of luck to whoever their opponents are.

Its my understanding that when the league decided to play games on Thanksgiving, The Cowboys and Lions are the only 2 who wanted to do this. Not sure if this is true, just something I read a few yrs ago.

Expect for the AFL teams but the NFL said fuck you to them when they joined. But the rest of this is true. Lions were the team that started Thankgiving Day football.

The Lions have shown they are better than in previous years. In fact, if Hanson isn't injured or they don't have Suh attempt the XP, they probably would have beaten the Jets.

Expect for the AFL teams but the NFL said **** you to them when they joined. But the rest of this is true. Lions were the team that started Thankgiving Day football.

When the leagues merged, the NFL should have continued the Detroit Thanksgiving day game tradition, but they should have given the Chiefs, who had hosted Thanksgiving day games the previous few years the other game, and taken the game away from the Cowboys.

This would have given one NFC team and one AFC team a game, which is as it should be.

The Lions almost beat the Jets a couple of weeks back. They remind me a lot of the Bills, and even Cleveland: a team that can surprisingly score a lot of points, and has some talent, but just can't seem to put it all together and/or get out of its own way to get a W.

This game pretty much sums up the season for the Pats. On D, they're young and play soft and let up third down conversions yet occasionally make a great play. On O, once they get their heads out of their asses they seem unstoppable.

As much as I love Brady and Welker, if I had to pick an MVP for this team right now I'd be inclined to choose between Gronkowski and Woodhead. The young TE seems to have Stick-Um on his hands, and the little RB is just one of those guys who makes plays.

Yeah pretty much my thoughts as well. Rebuilding teams that are showing some promise but not there yet. Bad defense hasn't helped the Bills and Lions at all.

Belichick is going to kill McCourtey for not scoring that TD. But it gives Brady a shot for another TD.

I'm not all that good at evaluating OL but finally bringing back Mankins seems to have helped them a decent amount as well.

I like 'em both. Hernandez is more of a WR and does damage between the 20s. But Gronkowski is bigger and stronger and a better blocker and seems to find the end zone more often. It's great because Brady has had jack shit at TE for most of his career and suddenly seems to have two great young ones who are very different in abilities.

(AP)- Detriot.
Tight End Rob Gronkowski and Running Back Danny Woodhead led the charge as the New England Patriots blew out Detroit 45-24 today. The unquestioned MVPs of the Patriots were helped out by QB Tom Bradys 350 yards and 4 TD passes.

Actually it's a fair point. Brady has won 3 super bowls and been to 4. Rivers hasn't won shit and actually choked in the playoffs last year and to the Pats another year at home.

Rivers is much more of a crybaby bitch who picks fights and starts shit. Brady only yells at his teammates when they deserve it. Besides, Rivers deserves all the shit he gets just for this face:

Rivers definitely had a bad game last year, but he didn't choke against the Pats in 2006. That would be Marlon McCree, Drayton Florence, and Eric Parker.

Alright, who is gonna talk shit about Brady for yelling at his teammates? He does it more often than Rivers, but Rivers is a crybaby bitch, right?

I honestly have no idea what his teammates say about Rivers, but I do know that all the Patriots constantly laud Brady's leadership skills. It's also commonly known/understood that Brady gives 110 (thousand) percent effort at all times, which earns him the respect of his teammates and after today's 1st half pounding by the Lions' excellent defense on Brady (who has some kind of foot/ankle injury), Vince Wilfork said Brady might be the toughest SOB in the NFL and that he just takes the hit, gets up and goes about his business, which he respects.

Bottom line -- he's obviously a great leader, and his bitching out his teammates is taken by them in the right context/vein.

Again, maybe Rivers has that reputation as well, but without 3 SB rings to back it up.... (?)
