Right now in his press conf. He just said they drew some plays up in the dirt for Bowe in Seattle. Coaching on the fly and making in game adjustments,
literally. Maybe not dirt but the same idea.

Haley just said it was the TD down the sideline when Bowe made a double move...SWEET

The coaches are making some great INGAME adjustments.

The slants.

The slants worked to perfection vs Seattle.

Shaun Smith's TD play?

Planned and practiced.

They need to use that one again. 325lbs from the one-inch line = hard to stop.

Do this once or twice and then ina crucial spot fake that dive to the Smith and pitch it to Charles or Jones.

they drew up the "Maurice Carthon's Gonna Slap A Bitch" play last week...

My guess would be they saw something the safeties were doing a lot. On two of Bowe's touchdowns the safety went after the inside receiver. So maybe they shuffled around the formation to create that same result on those TD's.

Imo a slant is a perfect route for bowe with his rac ability. Im suprised we dont run more of them.

That was EPIC IMO.

Just wait until they line up with Smith and Vrabel at the goal line. Then watch the defense try and guess who to guard.

They've been doing that for two weeks.
Vrabel was in on the Smith TD. Last week they were both in on goalline plays.

I did not notice Vrabel lined up on that play. That is awesome if true.

They need that package on all 3rd and 1 situations, which would help out season 3rd and short average.

Couldn't agree more.

ChiefsCountry among others think Bowe has the skill-set of Michael Irvin. I agree.

The slant was Irvin's bread and fucking butter.

It's incomprehensible to me why they don't run them more. If the ball is placed properly, it's indefensible with Bowe's size and strength.

Just like a "Gordie Howe hat trick" used to be a goal, assist, and penalty, if Smith had been caught grabbing a plum, I'd work the rest of my life to make sure it'd be known as a "Shaun Smith hat trick."

A lot would have to change before he became anything other than the Sackmaster.

Haley did the same thing with Fitz in the Super Bowl, didn't he? For a long TD pass.

I like the ability to be creative and adjust on the fly.

Personally I think he's evolved into the ball master. It just seems to me good things happen when he's got a ball in his hands.

Yep, I said that in the beginning of the season. IIRC we ran them a lot during Bowe's rookie and 2nd year. We hadn't ran them a lot this year until yesterday.

Ever since last year, I've been calling for the quick slant on third and short to Bowe. It's ANNOYING to watch them throw it to him behind the line of scrimmage and HOPE he makes the first guy miss...
