Chiefs add cornerback

In a sign the Chiefs are concerned about their depth, they signed veteran cornerback Mike Richardson. Richardson played for the Chiefs last season as a reserve and went to camp with them this year.

The Chiefs played without starting cornerback Brandon Flowers in last week's game against Seattle because of a hamstring injury. They lost his replacement, Jackie Bates, early in the third quarter with a knee injury.

To clear roster room for Richardson, the Chiefs released linebacker Justin Cole.

Yeesh. I'd rather move Berry to cornerback and re-sign Shaunard Harts.

I hope Flowers is back for the SD game. It's going to be hard to watch without him.

I'd rather move Jon McGraw to cornerback and re-sign Jerome Woods. Hell, I might prefer just moving Woods to corner outright.

Mike Richardson is freakin' awful.

Yeesh. I'd rather move Berry to cornerback and re-sign Shaunard Harts.Berry has looked TERRIBLE in coverage so far.

this isn't a good sign, apparently several of these injuries to our secondary are going to take awhile longer to heal. :(

He could probably get his hands on a couple of balls.

As long as he doesn't miss his bump on the WR it might work.

I agree, we MUST have Flowers back for SD. I don't see us winning without him.

Any chance that this could be for depth. Didn't Jackie Bates get hurt and then Arenas and Daniels were moved in? Just curious if this is in response to Bates' injury and not Flowers'

Chiefs CB Brandon Flowers returned to practice, although it was hard to tell if he was full or limited. Lots of standing around in the cold.

Good news. CB Jackie Bates was on the exercise bikes , which may be the reason CB Mike Richardson was signed today.
