Is quietly one of the best young defensive players on this football team.
7 sacks this season playing only a limited number of snaps.
He had 4 just last year.

Glad to have this kid.

Yeah, he was a monster today. A pure beast.

I think it says a lot about the quality of our current coaching and how bad our previous coaching was that guys like him and Carr keep getting better and better. Makes you wonder how many careers are ruined by bad coaching around the league.

I've always felt there were quite a few good football players who've careers have been ruined by poor coaching or schemes that don't play to their strengths.

ROFLROFLROFL Pretty much how I see it.

He's a selfish person though. He should have let Tamba get that last sack. Tamba had about 283094 pressures today and deserved the sack. :)

Albert Haynesworth for 500, Alex.

But yeah, Gilberry with 3 sacks and the forced fumble was a huge effort today. Guy should definately see the field more often, Id say hes a must have on passing downs.

Funny. Who would have thought before the season we would be criticizing Gilberry for getting too many sacks.

This is the final year of his contract. They need to get him locked up!

Gilberry stole a sack from Hali today. Tamba will now miss the Pro Bowl. :(

Kudos to Herm and Carl.

Along with Ray Farmer who was key to the practice squad transactions in '08. They signed both Gilberry and Studebaker off practice squads.

But credit the current staff for keeping and developing them. Just look at Denver and McDaniels tearing down the roster just cause he could and not taking the time to evaluate what was already there.

At first glance Gilberry is a poor fit for the 5tech DE. But while very undersized he does it willingly and also gets opportunity's to rush all along the D front inside and out during passing situations.

95% of the credit goes to him for being such a beast.

But a little 5% needs to go to our coaches. He's too slow to play linebacker and is very small for a 3-4 DE. The coaches have figured out how to use him and he's rewarding them with some very big important plays just when we need them.

Actually speed is not as big of concern as hip fexibility he would struggle in coverage.

If he misses the pro bowl, that game is a bigger joke than it's already known to be.
