Why would you root for the team that could potentially eliminate the Chiefs from the playoff race, should the Chiefs lose another game?

Nope. Root for the Jets. If they're 10-6 or 9-7, the Chargers get the 6 seed should they win out. The Chiefs would have a much better chance against the offense-less Jets.
