Anybody know when they are gonna announce the SNF game for week 17? I think the Chiefs/Raiders game has a decent shot to get on there
I've been wondering the same thing.

It would be fucking epic to put KC Vs Oak as the SNF flex game...But it's the NFL. They will pick the Vikings or some stupid shit like that.

No way, it has to be a game with some playoff implications.

It will be someone from the east coast or the Dallas Cowboys......always is. I mean the NFC east teams NEVER get any prime time games right?
All about the $$$ and # of viewers, regardless.....
It will be TB - NO, PHI - DAL, JAC - HOU or OAK - KC
Dallas obviously has no playoff implications but I bet it is the front runner.

according to the flex scheduling rules it was supposed to have been announced today, no later than 12 days prior to the game..
"Just as the six major college football conferences have done for many years, the NFL will have the flexibility to move the start times of games on Sundays, using a 12-day notice format.
For example, a game scheduled for a Sunday could move from a 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff to an 8:15 p.m. start, but the change would be made and announced no later than the prior Tuesday, 12 days prior."

Also, the NFL website states the following...
Week 17 start time changes could be decided on 6 days notice to ensure a game with playoff implications.
We're competing with Chicago @ Green Bay, Tampa Bay @ New Orleans, and St. Louis @ Seattle for games with playoff implications. Bears @ Packers will likely win out, though if the Raiders play tough this week, ya never know

Probably will be GB/Chi. Rams/Seachickens has playoff implications as well, but I would expect us to beat that one out. Cowgirls/Iggles has a good chance too.

By my count Philly will be playing their 4th SNF game this weekend. That's the limit, I do believe. So it won't be them.
Chicago/GB seems like a good choice... but GB would be out of the playoffs if they lose this weekend. Actually I think all the wild card teams could be finalized a week early if the cards fall right. Maybe Tennessee @ Indy. I don't think they'd pick us... except the fact that it is the KC/OAK rivalry... that may be our only hope. If we were playing someone like Tennessee or Houston there'd probably be no shot.

Rams vs Seahawks by chance?:D
Guess I had better make my decision to go to that game before Monday to avoid price hikes.

Yeah, like the one they flexed this week?
I honestly don't know how they pick the games for the flex scheduling.

I honestly don't know how they pick the games for the flex scheduling.Based on what I have read, the playoff implication only applies to week 17. The rest of the time they can go for any matchup that is not protected by the other networks.

I hope to hell they don't pick the Chiefs game for that one or I'll be on a plane back to Seattle and miss the game. Please stay in the early time slot and choose the Chargers or Seahawks games instead NBC.

I hope to hell they do. I have tickets to that game. To play on SNF to clinch the division would be epic.

Fuck the flex national spotlight.......I want the playoff national spotlight.
I'd rather have a home playoff game though.

Don't think that one is dependent on the other. Why not hope for both?
