DENVER -- Broncos linebacker Elvis Dumervil was cited for assault as he left a game at Invesco Field, FOX31 News has learned.

The incident happened after the Broncos' loss to the Oakland Raiders on October 24 and allegedly involved one of the parking attendants at Invesco. Court documents show the 6 foot, 250 pound Dumervil was cited for assault and disturbing the peace.

It appears he's been in Denver court at least once and has another court appearance set for January 11.

The Pro Bowl linebacker signed a six year, 61 million dollar contract with the Broncos this past off-season. But the 26-year-old was injured during training camp and hasn't seen any action on the field.

Dumervil's record shows he's had some traffic offenses like speeding and no proof of insurance, but nothing like this in the past.

Dumervil is the fourth Broncos player busted this season. Back in November, DJ Williams was arrested by Denver Police for DUI.

It was his second such arrest. Less than two weeks ago, Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox was arrested in Douglas County on charges of sexual assault.

And this past Monday, Broncos linebacker Kevin Alexander was arrested for assault and battery. He pled not guilty to the charges but has since been released by the Broncos.

Charges against Dumervil dismissed

A Denver court dismissed all charges Thursday against Broncos defensive end Elvis Dumervil.

He had been cited with assault and disturbing the peace following an argument with a parking lot attendant at Invesco Field at Mile High prior the Broncos’ game Oct. 24 against the Oakland Raiders. The incident occured when Dumervil forgot his player credential and was not allowed in by the parking attendant.

Dumervil, who missed the entire season following surgery to repair a torn pectoral muscle, made a cell-phone call to a team official and was quickly cleared to enter, but the parking lot attendant filed a complaint.

“”He never should have been charged in the first place,” said Harvey Steinberg, Dumervil’s attorney. “”And the press coverage should be the same not that his case has been dismissed as when he was charged.”

Oakland's D-line got lucky tackling for losses & smaqing the QB. Oakland's secondary got lucky forcing fumbles & making INTs. Oakland's O-line got lucky opening up huge holes for lucky RBs to run through. When you add up all that "luck" plus 59 points that equals an ass kicking.

Hey - its OK to admit it. Kansas City was the #1 rush team, Oakland was #2, and Denver was the worst at run defense. Thats an ass-kicking that sports you the #2 pick in the draft. Congrats, you deserve it!
