OK all of you photoshop nerds. I've been trying to make my logo look like a christmas ornament in photoshop and they all really suck. It should be simple but I must be a dumb ass...
If you are in the holiday spirit give it a whirl :D:D
Here is my logo

I'll give it a whirl when I get on the home PC, for now you can use this...
Yeah, I'm not even really here today, they might as well be paying me to sleep.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most Christmas ornaments big shiny balls? Looks like a big shiny ball to me. Fuck off.

Tried. Upload fails every time. All size restrictions are met. Oh, well.

You'd be better off using Illustrator or a 3-D mapping program. Photoshop isn't really designed to do what you want done.

How long does it take to learn photoshop pretty well? I've never even tried.

That one's low res (72 dpi, 640x800). If you need me to upload high resolution and get you a link, let me know...

I expect Shawn Smith will be along shortly, to take care of that little issue.

I'm a photobucket novice, so see if this works. It should be a ±2MB@300dpi RGB JPEG (as large as the ornament would go before I got too much "stairstepping" on the logo). If that's not what shows up here, we'll find a workaround.
EDIT: Okay. It got resized when I posted. Does anyone know what we do to link Hoover up to the high-res image on photobucket?

Yeah. I'm embarrassed to say that I didn't have the time to do the Photoshop work on the avatar yet.

In that case, I owe you a thank you as well. I'll have to look more deeply into the site now that I've been introduced.

It's not a bad promotion strategy for smaller places. I recently tried out (and eventually adopted) Tomahawk Backup (https://www.tomahawkbackup.com/) for work, and I got a handwritten postcard and thank you email directly from the guy running it right after I signed up. It made want to support them just a smidge more.

And now I'll be looking into their service as well because you shared it here.
You're right. Not a bad promotion strategy indeed.
