It's the one time where a fade route is a well advised call. Tell the QB to drop the ball on the back pylon and see if your WR can't pull it down. Also, since you have TO's to burn, you can run streaks and hit a back releasing on a short route or a WR running a drag or cross over the middle of the field for a potential big gain and/or TD.

Yes, it is a well advised call if you know your qb isn't going to fuck it up. TCU db's don't give you much margin for error down there.

DB's really don't factor in on plays like, save for the ability to pull a caught pass away. The thing that usually dooms a fade route is pressure from the front four or an inaccurate throw by the QB.

http://www.allvoices.com/contributed-news/7637161-photo-tcu-debuts-nikes-air-zoom-alpha-talon-cleats-on-rose-bowl

Texas Christian University Horned Frogs were pumped up when they are chosen by Nike to debut their Nike Air Zoom Alpha Talon cleat, aside from newest TCU Nike Pro Combat uniform, Business wire reports.
Nike has introduced a new line of cleat to give American football a some added performance to the players. The Air Zoom Alpha Talon, which was introduced Teusday at Cowboy's Stadium Nike's press conference features an adaptive traction system wherein the cleat would actually extend or retract depending on the pressure applied by the player's foot. The cleat provides players more traction as they run towards the sideline. TCU football team will test that running traction when they face Wisconsin in the upcoming Rose Bowl on Jan.1, 2011.
According to Nike, it also has a mid-cut silhouette to support the player's ankles; extra-durable Kevlar laces; abrasion-resistant collar; and Phylom foam on the sole for lightweight cushioning and added comfort.
Among presents in the prescon were NFL players Ndamukong Suh, Clay MatthewsClay Matthews (http://www.allvoices.com/people/Clay_Matthews), Dwayne BoweDwayne Bowe (http://www.allvoices.com/people/Dwayne_Bowe), Felix JonesFelix Jones (http://www.allvoices.com/people/Felix_Jones) and Steven JacksonSteven Jackson (http://www.allvoices.com/people/Steven_Jackson) were on hand at Cowboys Stadium to introduce the Nike Air Zoom Alpha Talon cleat. It is noted that the NFL announced Nike as the official sponsor for 2012 NFL uniforms replacing Reebok.
The new Nike Air Zoom Alpha Talon cleat will be introduced on New Year's Day Rose Bowl game, and the Texas Christian University Horned Frogs are ready to gear and romp it up.

Dalton has come a long way this year. His throwing has improved tremendously over this past season. Last year, he was inaccurate. This year he is pulling a Cassell like improvement in his passing game.

At the beginning of the year, I would have never thought that Dalton would have a chance in the NFL. After his play this year though, I think he'll be a career back up somewhere and maybe get a chance to start one day.

NonBCS teams are now 5-2 in BCS bowls. 1 of those losses being TCU to Boise last year.

But don't worry, the system is good. Right DaKCManAP?
