I disagree with your conclusion of the statistics provided.

KC is tied for 2nd as the best team at spending money. The Chiefs have managed to spend "only" 8mil per win. We are finding the right players and not spending out the ears for them. Good investments that are paying off well over time.

Or the tree teams spending the same amount of money, or less, per win.

Pretty lofty company in both.

So the Saints and Steelers are the most recent SB winners.

I wonder if there is a correlation between winning a SB and suddenly having to spend more money.

It will be interesting to see if Pioli opts to trade guys before paying them big bucks over the next few years. Guys like Flowers, Carr, and probably a few of our rookies might be up for some big paydays. My guess is that he'll pay most of them just to keep a solid group of talent together until he can rebuild our depth. I'm a little surprised to see that the Steelers have such a high payroll. I didn't think they had that many highly paid guys on the roster.

I love it when you talk like that! You'd make one helluva Raiderfan. Now think seriously about this... Maybe you should switch to the dark side? Give it some thought before you reject the idea, mull it over a bit. We'd love to have you on our team... think about it!

I have a better idea:

You watch your pathetic franchise get skullfucked tomorrow and enjoy nine months knowing Al Davis was responsible for yet another losing season, which would make eight in a row. That's more than the Chiefs have EVER had in a row, and it's not even close.

And in the richest quarterback draft in years, you have 0 shot at any of them because Jason Campbell gifted you with mediocrity.

The Raiders will suck...forever.....for-ev-errrrrrrrrrr

You do have a point about the up-n-down nature of the Raiders. They suck for a while, they win for a while, suck, win, etc. Racked up 25 postseason wins to the Chiefs 8, but also have worse losing streaks than KC. Chiefs have had some very respectable seasons, but haven't been to a Superbowl in 42 years. Hey - I'm doing you a favor here by inviting you to switch your loyalty to the Silver & Black. Oh sure, there will be excruciating lows... but at least there are highs as well. KC just plods along real steady, few dramatic lows & even fewer dramatic highs. Come on down to Oakland town!

No, they fucking suck.

In my lifetime as a football fan, the Raiders have had five winning seasons in EIGHTEEN YEARS.

The Raiders are a fucking joke as far as I'm concerned. A freakshow the Chiefs use to entertain themselves.

If we hadn't gifted you with an NFL MVP the last 20 years of Raider football would be the biggest joke in NFL history.

No, they ****ing suck.

Oh hey c'mon now.... Raiders have earned 11 trips to the AFC Championship contest - including the recent Gannon era. Chiefs have been there one (1) time. Only team that's been there fewer times is the Houston Texans (0). Oakland is an up-n-down team. KC fluctuates between a nobody & an also-ran.

18 years

5 winning seasons.

No quarterback.

Maybe next year you can go 4-12 and draft another 4.2 WR.

You make my point about the up-n-down nature of the Raiders. Even in that 18-year span Oakland has twice the AFC Championship appearances that the Chiefs have earned in their entire history. Even suffering the worst losing streak in NFL history in that time span, Oakland still went further in the playoffs than KC did. Chiefs plod along at a much steadier pace than Oakland does... they don't sink to the depths, but they don't rise to the heights either...

Does the fact that you were the stepping stone to the Patriots dynasty and the victims of a massive Jon Gruden hate fuck on the world's biggest stage keep you warm at night when you think about 13 losing seasons in 18 years?

Well, I wasn't alive when we last won one, so for me, getting there was my favorite Chiefs moment of all time (so far)...

Of course losing it sucked....But of all the moments getting to the AFC championship stands out to me as the pinnacle of what I have experienced thus far...so I do look back fondly on getting there and those teams of the 90's

Ra_iers falls always fall back on the past. But one stain they never bring up is that they defeated the Chiefs twice in '69 and lost to them (17-7) in a Christmas day playoff that propelled the Chiefs to their second SB appearance.
