I love talking about the draft!

But, I'm not in the mood today. I'm still bummed about the game today.

It is crazy that Seattle fell from 7th to 21st in draft order, jsut by winning the west (provided they go one and done).

And Oakland's pick is NE's, right?

How did Buffalo get the 3rd instead of the 2nd?

When the Seahawks lose to the Saints they will end up picking 14th because the only picks effected by the playoffs are the two Super Bowl opponents correct?

I also think the Chiefs will end up picking before Tampa Bay & the Giants too right?

Of course this is subject to change when the Chiefs win the Super Bowl!

Nope. The rule was changed this year(I think), that playoff teams can pick no lower than 21.

No. They changed it 2 years ago when San Diego got in at 8-8 and picked something like 16th.

They'll use their record as a tiebreaker as they go out of the playoffs, i.e. the 4 teams that are eliminated next week will pick 21st through 24th.

The thought of having to face DaQuan Bowers and Elvis Dumervil on the same team (assuming Luck enters and Carolina takes him #1 overall) is not especially appetizing.

Carolina has Clausen. So no luck for them.

With his contract, even if you are only 80% sure that he is the guy at QB (and he hasn't earned that flexibility), you have to take Luck.

I thought I read somewhere that Harbaugh and Luck were conspiring to both go to Carolina.

Seems like the same kind of recycled "Pete Carroll and Matt Leinart at a package to SF" that was all the rage in 2005.

wasn't this the premise of the last season of "coach"?

So Pats have the #17 from Chokeland, their own 1st (hopefully #32), Carolina's 2nd rounder (#33), their own 2nd, plus a 3rd from the Vikes for Randy Moss (who they cut) and a 4th from the Donks for Lawrence Maroney (who was a coch DNP for most of his time there)....

Wow, usually I'm on top of rules changes, but I either missed or forgot this one.

Can't say I'm much in favor of it. Being the best of a crappy division gets you a trip to the playoffs but also results in a draft penalty. Woo hoo...?
