Now we can run WR sets with 3 experienced, traditional receivers (Bowe, Chambers, Curtis) rather than having VTucker in there.

We still have the slot package, as well. (Bowe, Chambers/Curtis, McCluster).

This basically just adds another package for us.

Do you think that Curtis can learn the offense in time? I'm thinking this is to replace Washington on special teams.

Petro is a retart. Our problems with our returners aren't the returners themselves, but the humps trying to block for said returners.

I don't, but that doesn't mean they can't tell him to fill in on a series and run this or that route.

Yeah, he's basically a non-factor for this season outside of ST play.

I don't know if I am remembering things correctly or not, but last year when Haley was calling plays, I thought there were a few cases where the first week a receiver joined a team the guy put up decent numbers only to go invisible a week later.

I guess I'm thinking a combo of Wade, Long and Bradley. It seemed like Haley could give the new #1 a set number of plays and Cassel was able to get them the ball 4-6 times.

This is interesting. From Curtis' Wiki page:

At the Combine, he scored a 48 out of a possible 50 points on the Wonderlic intelligence test. This is tied for the third highest verified score among active players (Ryan Fitzpatrick and Benjamin Watson also scored 48). The only two players that scored higher on the Wonderlic Test were Pat McInally with a perfect 50 and Mike Mamula with a 49.

I love the mysticism that white guys cannot play other positions well. Everyone jokes about, but a lot actually believe it. Hell just being white, even though you match up evenly skill wise usually stops you from getting a chance.

There are tons of ballers out there that could play well in the nfl but do not get a shot because of the stigma of skin color or their size. Or just dumb coaches.

Not saying he is going to be great for because of injuries. But the wr comparisons are dumb on color.

Strictly here to return the kicks of Baltimore's new left-footed punter...

What? Are you serious?

Baltimore brought in a left footed punter ONLY to get their punt returner used to catching left footed punts from our left footed punter Dustin Colquitt. He will not be playing in any games.

Anyway, Curtis is a decent receiver, better than most of what we have if time hasn't gotten to him. He should be familiar with the offense from Miami, minus our lingo just like Haley said. If he is a smart player, he should be more than ready to play by Sunday.

What? How does this signify ANYTHING to do with Bowe? I hope you're being sarcastic. If Bowe was too injured to play, why would they make room for him by sending Washington to IR? This has little to do with Bowe and a lot to do with EVERY OTHER RECEIVER ON THIS ROSTER, minus the TE's. How many catches does McCluster have? How about Chambers? We are in the playoffs. We need more than just ONE receiver now. If the Ravens stop our run game, how do you expect to move the chains? How do you expect to open up the run if we can't pass?

McCluster sucks!

All this talk about Curtis knowing the playbook because it is similar to what the Dolphins run is kind of funny. He was with Miami for all of two weeks. It might give him a leg up but I don't really expect him to contribute much to the offense.
