I bought the cheapest sleep number matress which, while it let's you adjust the firmness, ironically does not provide an actual sleep number...

What do I care about an actual number? It wasn't worth an extra couple hundred dollars to me...

I don't care how nice it is, I wound never buy a bed off craigslist. There is no amount of steam cleaning that could happen where I would feel comfortable laying my head on something that was someones go to spot for sex.

I've got an expensive Stearns & Foster, & I think its worth every penny, when you spend a third of your life sleeping. It'll last me 15+ yes. Costco sells them now I think just under another label.

When our house was completed the wife wanted a new king sized bed and we went with Temperpedic. Its effin awesome, I sleep like a baby. Plus we got the shit that makes it able to sit up. Best spot in the house to watch TV if you ask me.

Stearns & Foster - Made in the USA

Independant coil surrounded by tempur-foam - best of both worlds (foam + ind. coil)

http://www.mattressbuy.com/mattress_buy_htm/information/mattress_core.htm

Most supportive coil.

WHen I got my bed a few months ago, every night when I layed down to go to bed my back / spine would pop and crack like I was at a chiropractor after I got relaxed....It was like this bed re-adjusted everything back into the right place. It no longer does any cracking or popping...but my back and hips no linger are stiff in the morning...Really great bed.

A Simmons. Don't know the model or whatever they go by. There's a Simmons outlet by me and I paid $179 for a really nice full mattress in '08. Very comfortable and I sleep well.

I had one of those air mattresses before where the two sides could be adjusted. I spent a year at a chiropractor after using it.

I gotta ask...
which side do ya use getting jiggy, yours or hers, or do you just set both asides the same then back again??
Dont know much about those beds other than what Lindsey Wagnor said on TV

Don't confuse your sleep number with sex number. They often differ.

When I was young, I had a waterbed and really liked it. It was always toasty warm in the winter. Do people still have waterbeds these days? You never hear about them any more.

My current mattress is blue. Not sure what brand it is.

This is pretty close to what mine is. Its a Temperpedic knockoff that I got when I managed a furniture store a few years back.

Temperpedics were like 2500 of comparable quality and my cost was like 550-600 for this one so it was a no brainer for me.

One of the better purchases I have made.

I don't have meds. When 2 x 12's is all you can afford you do what you have to.

No sweat. Take your time with which firmness you choose. My only bitch about it is that it sleeps a little warm during the summer. It really retains body heat but I'm really picky with temperature anyway.

Go to a Westin. Try out their bed. I love it. You can actually oder one of the beds; it is called the Westin Heavenly bed. They are actually relatively affordable (as far as mattresses go).
