We have a leak coming from a pipe. It's a pipe that connects to the tub fixture stuff. My friend obviously didnt put the pipe back on straight and that fixture thing needs replaced anyways. It was leaking onto the basement ceiling. I shut the water off so it'd stop leaking. Is it safe to keep the water off overnight? Heaters set at 65 and it's 35 degrees outside. It's been in the 60's all day. 32 is the low for tonight.

Its the simple overnight fix until we get the new fixture tomorrow. Pardon my non existent plumbing knowledge.

We have great insulation in here. Most of the pipes are in the basement also. Thanks for the humor

Everybody knows if it's below 50 degrees outside to never , ever, shut the water off.

It should be fine. But if you use up the water in your hotwater heater, shut the breaker off to it. I'm no plumber, but IIRC, you can burn up the elements in your tank if it's empty.

CP'ers, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not saying you're wrong at all. Since you have a hotwater heater, I wonder what you use for a water heater, going in to the hotwater heater?

Pee on it to keep it warm, once every 30 minutes.
