Second only to John Williams IMO, and possibly better in some terms: Williams is the king of grandiose and triumphant, whereas Barry's music was more soulful and beautiful. Basically, Williams was Beethoven to Barry's Mozart.

The shame of it all is the brilliance hidden in $3it films and "the business."

Easily a modern great but once put in the movie medium his greatness will inevitably be downplayed...
