Ideally, I'd like to do a mortgage pre-approval online and not go into my bank to deal with the reps there.

I know there's a lot of mortgage guys on here, can any of you point me to a reputable site I can obtain a pre-approval on?

Thanks for any help.

I can't give Bill Lundberg endorsement enough. Doesn't help you with a link but I know of his reputation even outside of my dealings with him and he's first-rate.

My local credit union has an online mortgage pre-approval which I have used twice in the last few years.....with success...

I would say check with your local credit union first, if you are already a member of a credit union. If not, you could join one and then use their online services.

I don't know if it will help you to see the above link, but basically thats what I went through...and it was pretty painless...

Good luck with your search! I have been through 'big bank' loans and 'credit union / smaller bank' and I much prefer the services / attitude of the local smaller companies.

Just my 2 cents

You can't get pre-approved when your credit score is 4.
