View Full Version : Prayer Request Please say a prayer for my niece and her family
02-25-2011, 11:34 PM
My niece can use all the prayers she can get. She is 35 years old and has a 5 year old daughter. I have mentioned before that she has stage 4 metastatic breast cancer and has been a fighter and an inspiration to all who know her. We just recently found out that the doctors fear that the end is near. There is one last hope with a different chemo treatment, but the doctor has already said that it might be too late for it too do much good. Let's hope it isn't. If you believe in miracles, ask for one for her, please.

Sorry to hear this.
Man, cancer used to be rare, now it's like it's part of the American way. It's crazy. 100 years ago, comparatively very little cancer...

My family appreciates everyone's prayers. I will keep everyone updated on Jamie's condition. She is a remarkable woman, and even now is doing everything possible to keep a positive outlook.
If you know anyone who has lived with cancer, you can direct them to her blog where she has chronicaled her fight with cancer for the past four years. It can be found here: http://web.me.com/flinthills/Site/Welcome.html
Here is a pretty powerful video...

Just a quick update:
Talked with my doctor. One of the liver tests was down by half (that's a good thing). Two were about the same (better then going up). My billirubin was up a bit but within normal levels still. Blood counts were good enough to get 2nd round of chemo. Overall- good news! Still nowhere near being in the clear, but there is a break in the storm clouds.
Keep those prayers coming. They seem to be working a bit.
Thank you everyone.
