Put a wad of alunimum foil in it and put it on high, that will fix it.

all the water vapor could of splashed onto something and fried it.

Or the mug had something in it that reflected the waves back into the microwave and fried it.

door didn't open. that shockwave loosened something.

I was looking through the window to see if it was bubbling and boom.

Certain mugs with smooth surfaces do this. Got to know your cups when you heat water in them.

For future reference (meaning with your replacement microwave), place a toothpick in the mug of water.

some types of glass just cannot handle that i guess. I've had glasses shatter in my hand from pulling it out of a dishwasher and then pouring ice/water into the glass.

It happened because you have a tramp stamp, you need to get your lower back tattoo removed. It's very dangerous.

What's with the hate for heating up water in a mug in a microwave? Is this not a normal practice? This is how I heat up water for hot chocolate....

Yep, those things could catch on fire if you aren't careful around a microwave.

;) Rainman, someday this legend will catch on!

Next time try some gasoline in a tin cup. And be sure to watch closely.

WTF?

So you aren't allowed to use your microwave to boil water?

Or are they running it for an hour or something?

WTF?
