So I'm taking this girl on a date sunday night. We are going to wind up at my apartment where the lights are mysteriously dim, candles are lit and food is on the table. But it will have a comedic undertone to it if you can imagine that(I'm a sophomore in college not some creepy 35 year old man). So I come to you dear Planet, in need of help. I want to play some cheesy music while we are eating dinner. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of Brian McKnight- Back at One or Lionel Richie- Endless Love in the Dark but I am drawing a blank on what else I should play.

Side note: Sadly I won't be PIIHB. Sorry to disappoint.

how about something totally random, like Irish drinking songs mixed in with rap, and comedies.

This. There must be some sort of Pandora channel dedicated solely to what you are looking for. Oh, and if you are going for comedic affect, you should turn it up just loud enough for it to be obnoxious, but not loud enough for your neighbors to complain.

Baaa, don't worry about the music. Just splash some of this on and you're in good shape.

Well known sax player. Not cheesy in his own rights but should fit the overkill of the situation.

If you don't go into the race expecting to win, you're not going to win.

Dude. He's going for funny. If he pulls out Otis he'll be PIIHB before the second course. That shit is no joke.

Accept no substitutes. In fact, I hope you have a remote for your stereo, because your ladies panties will melt when Kenny bursts in with the initial sax as she takes in your dimly lit apartment and the gentle, yet powerful aroma of candles, potpourri perfectly seared pan trout.

I have been studying the responses here and I think Kenny G FTW! However, what might take the hilarity over the top is if you sprinkle in some really inappropriate tracks at random times. Like Closer by nine inch nails, or Fock the Pain Away by Peaches, or Baby Got Back by Sirmixalot, etc...

You still have plenty of time. Grab a recording device and fap out the entire sound track to Titanic. In fact take atleast two takes and ask her advice on which was better.

So, dinners with "comedic" undertones are okay for college sophomores, but are "creepy" for guys in their 30's?

Are you sure you don't have it backwards and it's the college sophomores fucking up a nice dinner by attempting to be Dane Cook during the meal aren't the creepy ones?
