Not really, he was arrested last month for drug poss. He had deep issues so this isn't to surprising.

Probably the most underrated band of that era. There are few sadder stories of deaths in rock than the way Layne Staley was eaten up by heroin.

Claimed he was sober for 6 months and even though he did it to himself you cheer for those people to overcome things in life.

I agree, its always nice when people overcome such horrible things in life. Alice in Chains still to this day is one of my all time favorite bands. I'm just not shocked it came to this with Starr.

I read when they found him dude only weighted 86 pounds.

The first 3 records for Alice in Chains were 3 of the 4 albums of that crap grunge era that were really really good. RIP Dude.
