The players and owners will have to make a new deal for it to happen.

Discuss.

I agree with you. The players are going to court to try to force the owners to operate but legally I don't think the courts can't force the owners to continue to operate without a CBA if that is their choice.

This is the difference between 1987 and now. In 1987 the owners chose to continue operating, hence the replacement players. Now the owners do not want to field teams umtil a new CBA is in place. It may not be Judge Doty but I believe the owners will ultimely get a ruling in their favor.

Remember too that if the players' decertification request is granted they cannot reform for a full year. If the request is granted tomorrow then the earliest we could have a new CBA would March 2012.

Well, technically 'next year' means 2012, so there definitely won't be an entire season since the world will end in December.

Discuss.I could be wrong here, but they don't need to strike a deal to play this fall. The judge could order the owners to allow the player to play under the expired CBA. Its called an injunction, or something like that.

I really feel this way too. Don't pander to those rich bastards.

Every single thing they do now affects families that want to go to games and if they were being paid like shit to play a game they love to play I would say yes, give them more money...

Every raise they get is paid by US the fans, either in the way of ticket prices or Directtv... When they need a new stadium they tax the people to get it...

Let the greedy Bastards rot in hell, I seriously have not watched a full single game of baseball since they went on strike and before that I watched the Braves almost every night on TBS.

Let them come out here and live the way they force alot of their fans to live a while...
