Japan, being as densely populated as it is, can't afford to lose land, especially not farmland, which is what happened in the northern region. Even if the nuclear power plants had not been damaged, this would still be very bad. I wouldn't be surprised to see thousands of Japanese moving to the USA and Canada.

Now the map makers will have to make new ones since Japan is no longer shaped like it was before the earthquake dropped some of the country under the water.

I don't think this really happened . It's part of the government conspiracy to make us believe stuff just to raise our taxes. Photoshop should have never been invented.

On the bright side, our schools will immediately get a lot smarter.

Holy mother of god...first it was some small cars...then a boat...then some trucks...and then entire fucking buildings. Just fucking wow.

I wonder if the dude driving off in the beginning managed to outrun the water. I'm thinking not.

So it rains a lot up here, no big deal, you get used to it.

Every spring we'll have some wind storm, again you get used to it.

I've been here since '94 & seen a funnel cloud once & a couple years ago we had one touch down & do minimal damage.

The ground has shook a couple times ever so lightly.

I can deal with all that. But to see the maps that show the jet stream hitting right smack in the middle of WA/OR coming from Japan has me worried. The map says in 10 hours any radiation from a complete meltdown will hit here. :spock:

Does Camas still stink to high heaven when the wind comes out of the gorge?I live right on the edge of Camas and Vancouver & I can honestly say that I never smell anything horrible but I am a couple miles up from the river...Or, I have gotten used to the smell :(

The EPA has cracked down on them over the years.

I was construction (crane rental) & I know we were in there a bunch doing different things solely to clean the air.

Koch bought it & promptly shut down a couple paper machines. I think there's only a couple machines left that run. That might be a reason too for the smell not being as intense. There's talk Koch wants to piece it out & put condos', restaurants in there.

When I moved up here they'd tell me, "That's the smell of money".

Oh yeah, I remember that now. My neighbor & I took the train up. The train was 50/50 Chief/Chicken fans.

We used to go up to the Kingdome & there were never that many Chief fans.
