(NBC) - As the NFL lockout stretches on, some big name players are checking their options for new jobs.

The Bengals' Chad Ocho-Cinco said he'll try out for Major League Soccer, and Troy Bergeron of the Cowboys is one of two players who signed with Arena Football League (AFL) teams this week.

Six days into the NFL lockout, it's evident players are growing concerned.

"More than any other sport, professional football players cannot afford a lockout," said Ed Butowsky, a wealth manager for professional athletes.

Serious question: How dominant would an NFL player be in the AFL? I know the rules are different, but I'd think the talent level would just eclipse a lot of the differences between the games.

He'd be awesome as a kickoff specialist, he could nail those nets!

You realize that the players going to the AFL are players who are at the bottom of rosters in the NFL? Going to the AFL is a way to keep working and not lose any pay.

It would probably be similar to a good college team playing against a great high school team
