What's hilarious about that situation is that if Baird were still GM for that draft, the Royals would likely have taken Lincecum. Baird was said to be really high on Tim. If only Baird were fired AFTER the draft and not before it.

well from what I read, it looks KC has allowed the most....CHISox and Anaheim were the next 2 teams with the most SB's.....but I'm just assuming, they could have gotten most of their SB's from other teams they've played....it's just funny how both those teams played KC already, being that the season just started.

There's the disadvantage of having a silly deep center field. You'll give up more triples if you dont get it.

I think it's a big advantage for the home team because they can build an outfield around the idea that they will need a lot of speed.

I believe that run is earned. Obviously they were doing for the double play, but the scorer is not allowed to assume a double play. So, as far as the scorer is concerned, I think he has to say they conceded the run.

Tough luck for porcello, 3 errors and every run is still earned.

Whether it was interference or not, (I think not, looks like a home run to me) I don't think it is ever appropriate to punish the fans for going for the ball, its pretty much instinct. (though if a fan reaches out and catches a foul or homer hit by the other team, the surrounding fans ought to beat him up)

All you can do is figure out if its interference, adjust the baserunners, and move on.
