Eh, I just don't get into the NFLN games. They're all crappy matchups, the broadcasts are horrible, and NFL doesn't belong on Thursday nights. I'm not sure changes in the booth are going to help all that much.

I have no idea how Millen was even allowed to work in any capacity in the NFL after having the worst run team in NFL history

This. Not to mention that we shouldn't have to pay for watching the NFL. I refuse to pay for NFL Network.

I don't pay for it, Qwest has it on their basic package here. But it's definitely not worth paying anything extra for, I rarely watch it.

I liked them too...NFL Network needed to replace the lead man...I think his name is Papa or something. Truly horrible.

NFLPA needs to take over the NFL network as part of the CBA. That network screwed up what should be a sure thing....oh, and kill Eisen on air for sweeps week.

Yea, great idea, then you would have Emmit Smiff and Thannon Tharpe in charge.

I want to like Mayock, but he comes across as a little too sure of himself for a guy who never played or coached the game. (I assume he never coached, right?) He gets into all of these little technicalities, and if they were coming from a guy like Collinsworth or Aikman or Faulk I'd be on the edge of my seat, but I have a hard time believing Mayock. If he was a little less cocky I'd probably be okay with him.

Well, shiver me timbers. I guess Mayock played three years in the NFL. I had no idea. Cancel my last post, please.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mayock last summer, incredibly nice guy. Haven't heard him call many games but I respect his football opinions more than a lot of people, not to mention the fact that Millen & Theisman were HORRIBLE in the booth.

I'm glad Millen and Theismann are gone were just horrible especially together.

Mayock has gotten extremely cocky in his draft coverage, not as bad in his booth coverage but i'm sure now that he has been promoted here to that won't be far behind.

Mayock was played safety for Boston college and was a late round draft pick that spent a couple of years with the Giants or Jets.

Wiki says he was drafted in the 10th round by the Steelers but played for the Giants.

Mayock is very football smart, but I've heard him as an announcer and it aint pretty...Nonetheless, he's better than Millen. BY FAR.

Mayock is pretty bad as a color analyst for football telecasts, as someone else mentioned earlier.

And, as another mentioned earlier, Bob Pappa is horrible at play by play.

Really pathetic pairing.
