pretty soon all these tablets/smart phones are just going to explode with viruses and shit because most people don't have any kind of antivirus protection as far as i can see.

Thats why you have privacy settings, passwords on smart phones.
The train has left the building and it isn't coming back. You just need to educate yourself and your family on how to remain safe.
Privacy on the internet is an illusion anyway.

pretty soon all these tablets/smart phones are just going to explode with viruses and shit because most people don't have any kind of antivirus protection as far as i can see. Most are targeted at Windows or IE exploits and those are not installed on most phones. But, there will be some new threats specific to smartphones. Some already exist. But, again, edicate yourself and family and continue to live your lide in 2011. Beepers aren't making a comeback.

The iphone is dumb for giving you the option to save your location data to images?? I'd blame the user for enabling or allowing the option and then posting to public sites..
If I'm understanding this right, for iphone users, just go to settings -- location services -- and then switch off the shit.

And antivirus/malware protection for smart phones is hardly necessary -- right now anyway.

Well on my phone it has 'geo tag photos' set to off anyway. Looks like a setting you can just disable on the camera portion anyway
