ever watched MSNBC late at night? I was just subjected to it for the third time.. I gave it a chance the first 2 times... but after watching a third time.. I have to say.. it is FAR AND AWAY worse than any propaganda that FOX news has ever put forth... It is the most biased bullshit I have ever had the displeasure of being subjected to.

Rachel Madow is a complete lying whore who I would say makes Rush Limbaugh look like a reasonable, thoughtful individual...

If anyone who is a "liberal" really believes her and her ilk are putting forth anything even close to fair reporting.. than those people make "ditto heads" look like the intelligencia they aren't.

What a fucking joke. As embarrassed as I am by the right wing popular media... MSNBC late night is far and away the lowest denominator I have encountered.

I challenge anyone here to defend there worthless spew.

(word to the wise, don't try, because this level of ignorance is indefensible)

Just to be clear... tonights biggest discussion was about a Michigan Republican "law" I don't really agree with but the overwhelming lies told about it made me sick... I have no problem with a cogent discussion of FACTS but when you lower yourself to make an argument out of populist bullshit.. you lose any credibility you may have had to begin with.

IF I met Rachel Madow on the street today, I'd punch her square in the fupa and hope she died from a burst appendix. (I feel the same way about Limbaugh even though he once worked for the Royals.)

Their ratings say it all. Frankie and Direcface are the only viewers.

I don't know how anyone watches that garbage. If Maddow is the face of your network, that is pretty sad...

I can't get too mad at Maddow. It's got to be hard growing as a boy named Rachel.

 Someone should write a country song about it. Too bad the Man in Black has moved on to the next phase.

One of my co-workers was singing Maddow's praise recently. I had to STFU, even though I'm a liberal.

The best part is that this lady is always going on about critical thinking skills and how you have to look for the meaning behind the message and such to be a good citizen. Yet she's perfectly happy to wear her blinders when looking at her own "side."

One thing that I can't stand about most of the people on FOX or MSNBC or even Jon Stewart is that, after they read some line off the teleprompter, they sit there with this expression on their face like they just delivered the greatest punch line ever. Like, "Oh, oh! I really knocked them out with that one! I'm hilarious!"

I find the Stewart/Colbert variety of political commentary the most vapid and irritating. Say what you will about Olbermann or Maddow, they sit at their desk and present their material in a straightforward way, not making any bones about who they are. You know you're getting an honest presentation of the far left perspective when you see their head talking.

You turn on these other shows and see people who maintain this fascade that they aren't really too political, that they just hang out off to the side and poke fun for your amusement and they aren't pushing an agenda. (or conversely they present an over the top stereotype and call it satire when you know they don't truly believe there is much satire to it).

If you express any reservation about whether there is much that is helpful about their place in the "debate" the standard response is to snicker and say "look, here's another dummy who just isn't smart enough to 'get it'".

It's the same mentality that people use for quirky, unfunny, and low-rated television shows, "cult" movies, boring (but supposedly artistically pure) music acts... It's a way for people to convince themselves that they and their group are smarter than everyone else.

Interestingly, Northrop Frye (http://edweb.tusd.k12.az.us/dherring/ap/consider/frye/indexfryeov.htm) (a Jungian/archetypal literary critic) posits that art itself corresponds to archetypes. He says that a society's art moves through cycles throughout history.

Spring: Comedy
Summer: Romance
Autumn: Tragedy
Winter: Irony/Satire

I'd say that we're currently in the winter cycle where Irony/Satire are at the forefront of "art" and cultural critique.

I don't really have anything against Maddow. The next time I agree with her will be the first, but she seems genuine, and I believe that she wants what is best for our country.

Olberman would flush our entire country if he thought he could embarrass Bill O'Reilly in the process.

Rachel looked hot in high school...its too bad she is that whacked out and wants to look like a dike just to prove her lesbianism is more real than if she looked more feminim.

I think Maddow is clearly the shining light for that station, and really for all cable news IMO.

Ed Schultz is an embarrassment. Blech. Lawrence O'Donnell's the purest example of a smart guy saying stupid things, and it doesn't really help that he's a socialist, although personal complaints are probably left to the wayside.

What good can be said about cable news?

Maddow's really the only anchor on all three channels that avoids doing her job in the laziest possible way.

CNN has the best army of analysts (seriously, many of them are geniuses), but only gives one of them (Fareed Zakaria) his own show, and even then it's just once a week.

If you had to strap me to a chair and force me to watch one of those shows, Maddow is the one I'd choose, but that's hardly praise. Matthews interupts his guests, O'Donnell tries to play 'gotcha' too much, and Schultz panders to the base as bad as anyone on either side.

Having said that, I don't watch any of the Fox shows with any regularity for the same reason. All these shows either sit around agreeing with one another (boring) or they try to talk over anyone who disagrees with them (headache). Life's too short.

He freaking loses it. Can't wait for his on-air brain aneurysm. I cannot stand that condecending bitch and her snarky snarls.
