Iowa better start camping out on this kid's front steps. In six years he's going to be a blue chipper.

Holy fucking shit!

Imagine how good this kid could be with some professional coaching.

Depending on how he grows. 5'9 changes things. If he gets to the 6' plus area and continues to develop he could be pretty special. At this point there is a high school coach that is talking to him regular I would bet~

Does this now devalue other players "trick shot qb" videos?

They were already pretty well devalued for anyone who really thinks about it.

He got too much air under his long passes.

His footwork sucks too.

He might do okay in the spread, but that's his upper limit.

A million? Probably not. But I'd bet that you could find 50 or so in every state who could do it with enough time and video editing.

Where can I find this kid? I have a stack of dollars and a pass to Knott's Berry Farm amusement park. We're gonna clean up in the games area. I'm going to corner the market on stuffed Yosemite Sam dolls.

i don't know... He's got Drew Brees like accuracy. he hit the blocking sled five times in a row, each throw farther away., plus other consecutive throws at water jugs. he also had him move the basket back right before the throw

I don't think there's any question the kid can throw the ball. At least, he throws the ball better than any 12 YO kid I've ever seen play. But yeah, editing is pretty key here as well. He's not as good as the video would have you believe but he's not crap either.

I don't think there's 50 12 year old kids in the country who can throw like that. I'm not sure there are 50 14 YO kids.

That was my take also. Of course there is editing involved  At a very young age he has solid mechanics. He throws a good spiral and as pointed out by Steve the tackling dummy display along with some of the other throws show great accuracy. I don’t care about the editing that some here are using to totally dismiss the kid. I have coached and coached against a lot of 12 year old kids and I would have enjoyed a chance to coach this kid. I also forgot this is the planet and 98% of the guys on here believe they were that good when they were 8 years old~

Perhaps my "50 in every state" statement was a bit much, but I think everyone's just desensitized to these things because they're becoming very common. He's obviously good enough to hit the throws, but without knowing whether it took him one shot or 500 to make it, the accomplishment is pretty empty.

To me, it's evidence of "Hey, that kid's pretty good. Maybe he'll make a college squad one day." It's not evidence of "OMG THAT KID IS GOING TO BE A STAR!"

In one of my first replies I said it depends a lot on how he grows. 5’8” changes everything. There is no telling but I will say this there are few 12 year olds with his skill set. That means he is a star at 12 years old and nothing more~

Also the trick throws were not what impressed me about his ability. As pointed out many could make those throws given unlimited attempts~

Agree to disagree I guess. I didn't see anything that I wouldn't expect an above average HS quarterback to be able to do in 20 or so tries. The only ones that were mildly impressive to me were the blocking dummies and the cups. Those required multiple hits in a row, but then again, they were both from within 10 yards, too.

Ok now you lost me. An average HS QB is around 4 years older than this kid. That is a shitload of development physically. As far as the throwing off buildings, off walls and off backboards matters little to me. It is his mechanics as far as footwork, shifting his balance and throwing motion that impressed me. At this point it is getting a little silly and so yes I will agree to disagree with you ;)

Making a video like this essentially makes the statement that the kid is extraordinary and should deserve more attention than anyone else like him. He's obviously good, but if you put him up against a nationwide competition of other 12 year olds, how would he fare? Top 100 in the country? Probably. Top 10? Possible, but I wouldn't bet on it. The video just doesn't show enough to know.
