View Full Version : Poop Delivery room question

So my cousin's wife just had another baby today.

I find out that that she had her first child(boy 9 or 10 yrs old) in the delivery room the entire time. We are talking on the business side of the curtain.

quote " ... he got to see the head crown during birth and everything..."

I think this is a bit strange.

what say you CPlaneteers??

I think it's weird if a parent or sibling is in the room, let alone watching.....

No child, should ever seen their own mother's cooter, with the possible exception of as an adult, helping care for them if they are sick or too old to be able to care for themselves.

I vote "wrong".

Unless they witnessed the conception, I see no reason for them to witness the birth.

No. Kinda creepy. I would be traumatized if I saw my mothers who-ha at that, or any age.

I wouldn't even let our two year old in the room, let alone a 9 year old. That's creepy.

Yeesh. That's creepy.

With our first baby, my wife's dad - who didn't like me nor did I like him - just bust into the room as she was getting ready to push. I had to have the doctors get him out of the room because he seemed like he fully intended to sit there and watch. It was creepy then, and it's still creepy.

not even a little bit

Then it's not cool. If the mom was hot, the kid could snap some photos on his cell phone and sell them to classmates.

What are the odds that this 10 year old boy just became gay, or some kind of S&M deviant?

I mean, his first live cooter experience(hopefully) is his mom's, busted up, swollen baby hatch, maybe an episiotomy, and maybe a turd coming out in 3D as his sibling climbs out like the beast in Alien.

I'd have to understand the mother's reasoning behind it. I can respect a well-thought-out rationalization. For instance, my daughter is home-schooled. So I show her some potentially tramatic things to enhance her learning. Couple weeks ago she watched a client's python choked out and swallow 2 mice. She hated it but it was a good experience for her.

Here's how birth is supposed to work.

Step 1. Sex.
Step 2. Wait nine months.
Step 3. Watch football in a waiting room while other women help your women.
Step 4. Five minutes after the game is over, nurse comes out and tells you gender.
Step 5. Buy bubble gum cigars at hospital gift shop.
Step 6. After everyone is cleaned up completely, visit mother and child in hospital room where TV is showing highlights of that day's football games.

My son was 6 when I had my first daughter, 8 when I had my second daughter. He didn't get to be in the delivery room, nor did he have any desire. Ewe!

He did hang out a lot before delivery and after, but hell no on during.

I could see in some cases where it would be okay, possibly if the kids were around live animal births a lot, maybe.

Personally, I took a view that I could see my kids heads but not much else. I really didn't want that image stuck in brain for the rest of my life.

I suppose this group is in favor of children watching TV violence instead of them witnessing full female nudity? Do ya pop in a Freddie Kruger tape for fun? While I wouldn't choose to send my 10 year old in to watch the birth of a sibling....I really don't think it's a terrible or certainly not a nightmarish experience to put them through. Witnessing the miracle of life? Toughen up people, quit being pussies.

Your kid can witness the miracle of life down at the local farm. He doesn't need to see his mom lying spread legged with Dr. Johnny Bench down by her honeypot.

Yeah, what would freak a 10 year old out about seeing his mom's bleeding, gaping vagina?

Sounds like good clean fun to me.

There is nothing wrong or unnatural about birth. We as a society are pretty screwed up on what we are offended by. Now to be fair, I never said I wasn’t screwed up too. I really don’t like it when the wife wonders into the bathroom while I’m dropping a duce. So I can’t really imagine why a woman would want a crowd while giving birth. Though I guess since women can’t take a pee without their friends support, they would need a village to shove out a kid. It is good to be a man.

Ya can't just taste the placenta right from the butcher. You have to let it ferment for a couple weeks in a dark cool place in olive oil, peppers and some ham and cheese.

The worst part was when he reached in trying to find the stork.

Poor kid.

Lonewolf Ed
04-27-2011, 02:57 PM
Now how would it traumatize the kid to see his mother give birth? She would be totally rational, calm, and tell him what was going on step by step, right? It's not like she'd lash out at the father, swearing like a trucker, and telling him how he did this to her, over and over. No way would she turn to her kid and tell him, "SEE! This is what your balls will do! They're eeeeeeevil!"

that is simply wrong. a boy should never see until he is old enough to want to, well, make it look like that. That kid will never go down on his gal. Not now. Should only see that if it is your own kid comin out. I had a small cooler of beer in the room that the nurses thought was water. I needed one immediately after they left.

doesn't matter to me what the kid would see at the birth of a sibling. it's what the kid would hear. my wife called me everything in the book while birthing our babies.
they can hear that shit at home in the trailer court, not at a damn hospital. time and place for everything.
