View Full Version : Obama Just in case you wondered what the O did today

After a hard week of fund raising, screwing up a Medal of Honor presentation, getting his ass handed to him by Kagoofy, the old lady off dancing with little african children and having some quality time with Tutu and her Marxist bud Mandela, the boss needed some time to relax.

(WHD) President Obama hit the links today, making it 13 weekends in a row that hes gone golfing.

As some of you speculated, with Michelle on safari in Africa, golf was pretty much a lock this weekend.

From the pool report:

Hes wearing light brown slacks, a black golf shirt, hip Blackberry, iPad and some reading material, and no hat. Golfing with Trip Director Marvin Nicholson, Press Aide Ben Finkenbinder, and former campaign photographer David Katz.

For those of you playing along at home, this is the 16th time Obama has golfed this year and the 74th outing of his presidency.

You're right. Golfing on the weekend isn't the reason he's unable to do his job. Being the least qualified candidate during my lifetime has much more to do with it.

You may have a point about him doing a "good" job but to think he isnt doing his job because he golfs on the weekend, is nonsense.

You're acting like being the POTUS is a 9-5 M-F job. Bush caught hell for spending so much time at his ranch even though there really wasn't anything he could do at the WH that he couldn't do at his ranch.

I realize its not a 9-5 M-F job but a man must maintain his sanity. Why wouldnt he be allowed a few hours to get himself together, take his mind off some very serious issues? Wouldnt that actually help?

I think the point is, if he worked 7 days a week on the real issues nothing would come of it. We probably are better off with him doing as little as possible till he gets dumped on his ass.

Commited Marxists are not. You are correct.:thumb:

The reason you feel he is doing his job is you must have the same worldview "O" does. Correct? If that is the case then he is doing a spendid 'bang up" job in destroying capitalism not only in America but around the world. By all means "O" is accomplishing his goals at the "speed of light".

But if you believe in our Judeo Christian God, His providence, our true American ideals created under and by God known as our Constitution, and the liberty and freedom it affords to the individual to be free in his/her choice of how that individual lives their life, also known as the United States of America and the POTUS who is "expected" to protect these ideals and values(The Constitution) then "O" fails miserably to the point where it is clear IMO it surely is being done on purpose. If you read Marx and Lenin and Alinsky and all the "Red propaganda" to attack capitalism and America in general these policy and legislative moves in the last 2 1/2 to 3yrs are right out of the Communist Progressive playbook:shrug:

Now the question becomes for you, do you really believe Obama has America's best interest at heart and just believes 'naively' he can improve the invention of the "wheel" (a la America) through more socialistic policy change, when the evidence here in America both past and present, not to mention past world history as well, HAS NEVER WORKED:shrug: Believing that Obama means well but he is just an incompetent overreaching Liberal idealogue trying to force a round peg in a square hole( a la trying to merge socialism with captalism-you know trying to mix oil and water which always fails.

Or now are you starting to believe that "O"'s worldview and moves are that of a committed Progressive Marxist trying to destroy captitalism around the world and most importantly America under the guise of "global community"?

Actions speak louder than words my friend.

It's time to wake up and smell the coffee!!!!!!:thumb:

You have assumed much in this post. I didnt say I thought he was doing a good job. I simply said that golfing on the weekend is not proof that he is NOT doing his job. If he starts golfing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, I would agree.
I am not excited about some of his work but NO, I dont think he is trying to destroy capitalism, the American way, life as we know it.

No kidding. Some people are just blind and refuse to see that we actually have a 'usurper' in the oval office and the loooooooooooooooong list of negative economic stats will prove it. But because "O" is black and he is a liberal at best and more likely a Marxist who shares the same idealic worldview as the Marxist Media in hopes to accomplish their goals of a one world utopia, "O" is now the sacred black cow that will not be touched for anything!!!:thumb:

This my friend is a calculated barb statement. You are being disingenous and spilitting hairs if all you meant was "just golfing on the weekends"
You are backpeddling.

HCF and many other conservatives on this board could give you a laundry list that would wrap around the world 2x that proves he does not have America's best interest at heart and is being done purposefully.

Now if you embrace the "Progressive" mindset(a la Marxist worldview) you do realize that "Progressive" is just a candied up term for Marxism don't you? then you feel your President is a workaholic and deserves his golf:shrug:

Do some extensive homework on Obama and his mentors from early on who really influenced his thinking, feelings, worldview etc.....

And then you will start smelling the coffee as they say:thumb:

To most Marxist Libs on this board I am Limbaugh/Levin/Glenn Beck/Ernest T. Bass wrapped in the American flag. Just a right wing loon to those Marxist folks who try to "Alinskyize" me at every turn. Read "Rules for Radicals" by Saul Alinsky if you do not know this term.

But in reality I'm just a CRAZY F'N PATRIOT who not only loves his country AND his people but reads people and their actions very, very, very well. And "O" IMO is a pure outright Marxist who does not believe in God, our Constitution and our way of American life.

You can't fool "Shrinky T. Bass"

Presidents don't get a vacation.
They can get out of Washington DC, but they must keep up with daily briefings and current events constantly.
Not much of a break, at least not in the sense that most of us consider to be a vacation. They are "on call" 24/7.
A soldier gets a whole month off every year.
Most of Europe is shut down for the entire month of August.
Much of China takes a month off at the Lunar New Year.
I do not begrudge any President any time he can get to himself as long as it doesn't effectively interfere with handling any real crisis that may arrive.

President Bush recently spent his 879th day at his ranch in Crawford, Texas, since the Supreme Court, in all its great wisdom, elevated him to the presidency. This according to NPR's "Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me," which noted that Bush broke former President Reagan's record for taking vacations from the White House.

Bush gave up golf, a sport he loved, because of the image of frivolity that it conveyed while troops he sent to battle were still in the field. Instead, he "vacationed" in the seclusion of his ranch. Obama, by contrast, vacations all over the world and plays golf several times a month. I'm not going to be too critical of Obama for his recreation habits (lord knows there's plenty of other things to be critical about), but what's good for the goose is good for the gander and Obama fans who criticized Bush should STFD/STFU while Obama is criticized for his significantly more audacious lifestyle choices.

Why? Would it bother you less if they called it his southern command center rather than a ranch?
