Not to be nosy, and you don't have to answer, but how are you relative to your final weight in the tinyevel contest? I'm curious how many people bounced back up in weight and to what extent.

I don't remember my exact final weight in the contest, but I think I gained back about 10 pounds of the roughly 40 that I lost. I'm 12 pounds above my minimum weight. Given that it's been a couple of years I'm pretty happy with that. However, I've determined the exact weights at which I have a belly and where I don't, and I need to drop about 7 pounds to get down to the no-belly zone.

Awesome. You're still in the territory that's a major win.

You and I both added back about 20 to 30 percent of the weight we lost. I think that's probably not unreasonable. Hopefully everyone else is in the same range, more or less, or even better.

I'll tell you this much, when you grow up fat, it's hard to really get motivated to get skinny. What I mean by that is I weigh less than I did in high school. For me to get down to 265 again, it requires me to eat 1 time a day, and run about 5 miles a day at least 5 days a week. That's a lot of work to be chubby instead of fat.

Alcohol consumption has just killed my ability to drop pounds. I should totally quit drinking and start smoking pot again. Fuck legalities.

6'2" 187. Use to have the metabolism of a crackhead, but at 27 that all changed. I'm 31 now and everyone says it only gets worse. Now I gotta think about what or how much of what I should eat. Still a gym rat and workout hardcore 3 days a week, but no matter what I do I can't get my damn bicep veins and the other ones in my arms to come back. Same size still, just as strong, but can't get that really "cut" look back. Body fat just went over 10% for the first time in my life last year so I guess I'm not doing too bad. Being genetically blessed has more to do with it than working my ass off I am sure. My parents were both D1 athletes. I played JUCO football and had some D2 scholarship offers, but in all my young brilliance I decided that partying and drinking beer was more important. Not only that......just wasn't fun anymore. In high school football it was fun kicking everyone's ass and looking like a stud, but in college those guys are pretty good too. Wasn't much fun with the scrpit being flipped and getting your ass knocked off in practice every day. If I would have known I would have to pay $46,000 in student loans when I was done with school it made me realize I had made a pretty stupid decision for a business major! Did the same thing with my first credit cards............."you mean I have to pay all this back?"

A high school classmate of mine was a big-time high school football player. I think he was a backup on the all-state team, but maybe he was just all conference. Anyway, he got a full ride scholarship as an offensive tackle at Mizzou. This is back when they had consistently bad football teams, but he said it was a different world. There was some defensive tackle who ended up playing in the NFL (Jerome Sally, I think), and my classmate said that guy convinced him pretty quickly that he was not destined to be a D1 offensive tackle.

I've hover in a seasonal pattern between 205 and 210, and have done so for almost 2 decades. It's my high water mark, but I'm sure I can bump it up in the future.

I frequently get the "you've lost weight" comment when I see people, but it's never true. (nor do I care)

Is it good, then, because upon visual examination they give me "credit" for losing weight in our faux-health obsessed culture?

Or is it bad because every moment they aren't seeing me, they revert to some porkier version of the real deal?

This graph helps explain my life.
