So the average person saves between $1.20 and $1.60 when filling from empty. Is that really worth the bullshit of getting a gift card or whatever?

ROFL at you Wal Mart hating dorks. Gift cards are incredibly easy to use, and gas stations at Super Centers tend to have good pricing.

Big whoop. The marketing will work on the dumb folks though. Unless you pay off the wm cc every month they will be making more then you save.

Just like my dumb white trash aunt she will go blow 20-40$ to save .09cents a gallon.

Fuck Walmart. Using a Discover card gives you 5% cash back starting July 1 through September. That's between 15 and 20 cents per gallon.

Dillons was giving quadruple fuel points if you bought gift cards. I bought gift cards for places I was going to spend money at anyways and it worked out well.

I get between 5 and 15 cents off gas at QT every week for using my Price Chopper shopper card which is scanned only, not used to buy anything.

Dang! I need to get one of those. I thought you had to buy stuff at PC and the more you spent the higher the discount at QT.

Our local grocery store does the fuel points thing, and they've doubled them for the summer. We've saved $1/gal on our last two fill-ups.

Nope, just scan it and you get the store specials, plus gas discount as QT. When we bought the meat and stuff for the last BBQ we did, we ended up with 20 cents off per gallon. Only hitch is you gotta use it by the end of the month and then it resets.

Wow! Someone's losing money, or the grocery store profits are huge. Is there a limit on the amount of gas you can buy... like if you drive a duel tank truck?

You don't have to actually go IN to the Wal~Mart to make a gas purchase...

Bob Dole got a Wal~Mart CC 3 years ago just for the regular gas discount... Hey, $.03/gallon is $.03 to spend on something else. (It's up to $.05 off every day, now.)

No limit at all. We always take two of our vehicles and fill them both, plus I usually bring a 5 gallon gas can as well.

By the time I drive to and from the closest WalMart I will spent more on gas than the offered savings. Do they have a card that's good for free delivery?

They make up for it in other ways. THey'll package two or more things together to make you think you are saving money by buying in bulk. WHen in fact buying them one at a time costs less

I use a walmart debit card thing. I'll probably start swinging by walmart stations unstead of QT now. Doesn't save THAT much, but shit, I fill up my pump every other day and it saves a little.

quick trip had 2 liters on sale 2 for 4 dollars and cheaper gas, so it was worth it for me to drive further to get that savings.

I spend $15 on gas every 10 days or so.

At 4 gallons per fill-up, I'd save a TON of pennies.

From what I was told at my PC, you spend $50 on groceries, you get can a "credit" for $0.05 off per gallon on your next trip to QT. I'm not sure if $100 gets you $0.10 off or not. I rarely spend over $30, so I haven't even thought about the deal since I heard about it.

This is what I thought. You have to spend several dollars at PC to get any discount. It's not an automatic discount at QT without buying anything at PC.

exactly, but I shop htere anyway, so its nice when it is adding up for the month and at the end they say I can save 20 cents per gallon. I can't buy food and shop at Walmart. The losers there make me lose my appetite

I get it now. I only shop the 3 or 4 day sales at PC. I don't shop for food at Walmart. There are much better options.
