Program Similar To Sessions Held With Ku Klux Klan

WASHINGTON -- The FBI says members of an anti-gay fundamentalist group participated in the bureau's training of police officers and FBI agents.

The bureau extended the invitations to Westboro Baptist Church for training this spring at two bureau facilities in Virginia: Quantico and Manassas.

Westboro has stirred widespread outrage with raucous demonstrations at the funerals of U.S. military service members. The group contends God is punishing the military for the nation's tolerance of homosexuality.

Officials said that church members were "respectful" and not disruptive. They were not given an outlet to vent their views. The FBI said the group is no longer invited to participate in training sessions.

The Ku Klux Klan has taken part in similar training sessions. Officials said the meetings help expose law enforcement officers to the group and for group members to see things from a law enforcement perspective.

This, what kind of training. There is a lot of things police are trained in.

How to behave and act professionally when you completely disagree with an activist point of view.

Looks like basic police officer and FBI agent training, if I read the first paragraph correctly.
