I was on the PBS site to look up a video and got an error. The tooltip said that I needed to update my Flash player. So I went off and got the latest player from Adobe. It was 10.somethingsomethingdarkside and I grabbed it. I get the thing installed and my browsing experience was screwed. Couldn't get on the Planet or Facebook. Couldn't log into iGoogle. It also screwed up Chrome but not Opera, strangely enough. I uninstalled and grabbed 10.0, now my browser (FF5) is behaving again. So...I go back to the PBS site...now it says I need Adobe Flash 9.0 to watch videos. WTF? Is there a decent alternative to the Adobe Flash Player?

I'm using an Android tablet with Flash 10.3. Seems to work fine for me.

FF just started nagging me to upgrade from 10.1 and I gave it a shot again. Worked this time and everything seems to be functioning normally. In fact I found a tweak page (while I was looking around for an alternative) for about:config that has sped up FF5 for me.
