Yay. More CGI crap.

And they've replaced Kurt Russell's "MacReady" character with...a chick.

The 1982 version is a movie I'll watch pretty much whenever it comes on. Nothing will replace that movie's gritty feel and kickass tension of being isolated on the bottom of the world fighting for your life. John Carpenter was hit-or-miss on a lot of his movies, but he straight-up scored with his version of The Thing.

I sh*t on this version.

I thought this movie was supposed to be more of a prequel to the 1982 one. Have not been following all that closely, so I could be mistaken.
