Yeah. This is the most excited I've been for a network show in a long time. Maybe ever.

Can't wait.

I love Jason Isaacs. One of the many reasons I was sad Brotherhood didn't last.
That Asian therapist was also in Oz.

Premise seems very "Life On Mars"-y. But I liked that show (right up until the dumb ending).

The ending to Life On Mars really was a joke. Man.

Whatever this show does, I hope it isn't anything like that.

Bold prediction...The wife and son actually live, and he is on his deathbed in coma, and this entire show is what is going on in his head while in said coma.

Looks like a cool series, will check it out when it makes it onto the tube.

It does seem to be a trend though, making shows as completed as possible. Plans within plans, realities competing with each other only to turn out that everything was fake to begin with.

This series looks like it has potential, I will give it a look-see when it hits the airwaves.

Looks like a decent show, the Firm looked decent too.......NBC is in real trouble right now. They appear to have no idea how to create, market and build a good drama show right now.

I read they are moving it to Saturday Nights to bury it essentially. BUt at least it gives viewers who are caught up in it a chance to finish it out. But yea, its as good as gone after its run.

That's what I heard as well. I never watched The Firm, so I have no idea of the quality of the show, I was only referring to the ratings failure. It has even lower ratings than Prime Suspect.

I've been keeping up with both of these as well. Not great shows, but entertaining enough for me to watch while I work at night.

I'm really locked into Justified and The Walking Dead along with Archer right now. Still watch Modern Family and the two shows above. I'm also just starting Breaking Bad via Netflix, so color me excited.

Person of Interest is doing extremely well in the ratings, which bodes well for the future. It's one of the highest rated shows of the night.

Another new show that I've liked is Grimm, Friday's on NBC.

Only Corona? I don't know man, it just seems played out. Long Island is better IMO. More alcohol content, and somewhat more flavor.

I drink it with or without the lime. If I have limes laying around and I see a knife I'll go for it. It just goes down smoothly and has little aftertaste.

Yes. Its my opinion that most good shows "best stuff" happens in the first 3 or 4 seasons. Most head downhill after that.

I'm not even referring to ongoing series though. I mean, I think NBC might be going to literally a 8-10 episode run on their new series. Not even a yearly thing. think about it. The Firm wouldn't have worked as an ongoing yearly series. I don't see how Awake could do it either. Hell, most all of NBCs new series this year have been short run series with the exception of the Thursday night lineup.

What happened to that show? Did they finish it out? I remember a few years ago when NBC finished out the season of "The Cape" on the web instead of broadcast.

It'll be interesting to see if the American Horror Story approach catches on. They're essentially going to re-boot every year.

It wouldn't work for a show like this (too far-fetched to have a new 'dreamer' every year), but it would've been a great approach for a show like The Firm; no shortage of scheming law firms in the country.

Back on point - I liked Awake. I'm not generally a network drama guy, in fact I've never watched a series regularly. That said, I'll probably give this a shot for the near future, there was definitely some promise there.

I liked the first episode quite a bit. It's in the style of LOST, which is cool. I think the "guy is in a coma" comment is valid, but would think that's an easy plot. It has to be something different... crazy dream, maybe nobody died. We'll see how they keep it going.

I'm not sure how I felt about that last minute. I like mysterious shit, but part of the appeal of the show is that the story is being told from both of his perspectives, and the audience doesn't know any more than he does. So it felt a little...cheap, for lack of a better word.
