Yes, this thread has been done before. It should be done again in the future. Where we personally get our news and commentary is often an evolving process.

And to make it more currently relevant: what source of information have you found particularly helpful in understanding the debt limit affair?

Institutions that are experts in a particular subject and that will report and address issues from a freedom/limited govt Founding Father point of view. The rest is propaganda—especially mainstream news or govt sources.

Well here of course.

I'm like Frankenstein's monster politically. My head is my own, my left arm HFC, my right arm BEP, my left leg Donger, my right leg Vailpass, and my A-hole is Frankie.

Needs a Daily Show option.

Oh yeah, forgot about that. Probably b/c by the time I see TDS/TCR, I've already read the news of the day at the sites above.

And I take Stewart/Colbert at their word and watch for purely comedic value.

I watch for cathartic relief. I read CNN.com and a bunch of other newspaper websites for my news.

Mostly my local Albuquerque paper. They're right-leaning but offer a somewhat balanced selection of columnists. I can no longer do the radio and TV, they're as bad as congress.
