Chiefs pick up receiver Chris Manno

More News

The Chiefs, who open their exhibition season one week from Friday at home against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, signed wide receiver Chris Manno to a free-agent contract on Tuesday.

Manno, 5-10 and 185 pounds, is a product of Hofstra and has no NFL experience. Manno played in 12 games in the now-defunct Arena Football 2 league, catching 70 passes with 10 touchdowns.

Super Bowl victory is imminent."I can't help but wonder wtf they are thinking messing around with a midget Arena League player versus focusing on some quality NFL depth right now like McClain or the RB cut loose by Oakland that tore us up. Anyway, isn't it a little early in FA to be picking up camp fodder?

You make an excellent point.

Pioli has already missed out on most of the helpful players available.

So yeah, I guess he should get to work on building up the practice squad, this team is clearly ready to take a step forward.
