View Full Version : Chiefs Keep fucking doubting Scott Pioli...

The title of the thread says it all....

**** you doubters. He GMs with heart, and he continues to get the job done. You people who bash Scott, I don't even consider true fans. He GMs his heart out every offseason, and you continue to bash him...

Keep bashing him, I'll keep backing him.

I find fault with those that 'bash' Pioli. I understand questioning a move, or thinking a player that is available would make a huge difference. I can understand pointed criticism regarding specifics.

The painting with a wide brush gets old when it's overly negative.

And, while I can certainly understand giving him the benefit of the doubt..... (he has three rings, has been the executive of the year, and obtained talent and coaches necessary to win the West last year).... there are still too many unanswered questions about this team to post stupid crap like this.

And, again, I think most would agree that I am an optimist..... but c'mon. One 10-6 season does raise a GM above all scrutiny.

The only major fault I have had with Pioli was his choice of Tyson Jackson with that #3. Some of his other decisions, like trading for Cassel and drafting McCluster, could go either way, and one could at see some reasons pro and con for them being made. Drafting Jackson at #3 is indefensible, imo. But every GM makes mistakes, and Pioli has made them, and will make more in the future. It is the nature of the business. Overall, I am glad Pioli is our GM, and in two seasons the team is back in contention for a division title every year, which is the first step towards getting to where we all want the team to be.

You'd be cuckolded for a used fullback and a #3 WR?

08-03-2011, 07:20 PM
The FA acquisitions have been relatively solid, but nothing spectacular.

Where Pioli has emerged above virtually every other GM in the league has been the draft, save for the tumultuous 2009 offseason.

His 2010 and 2011 drafts are, at this point in time, astounding accomplishments. It took him all of 2009, but he diligently assembled the staff, got down a rhthym in mastering drafting situations, and since then he has absolutely killed the overwhelming majority of picks he's made.

For that, the guy deserves the benefit of the doubt, especially in draft season. His free agency hasn't been bad, it's been mildly good, but he's built this team the exact right way.

Wow, the Chiefs sign a fullback and all the Chief homers come out for a collective Pioli orgasm.

Time for a dose of reality... even the bumbling Carl Peterson was able to pull a 10-6 record out of his ass every few years.

Let's save annointing Pioli as Jesus Christ until the Chiefs at the very least win a playoff game.

There are absolutely no excuses this year. The WR Corps is solid. The line should be serviceable, and the RB's are sick. If our offense doesn't put up points this year, the crosshairs rest squarely on Matt Cassel, and not even Scott Pioli could miss that.
