If you're keeping score our federal government now has lawsuits against two states for trying to enforce the laws they refuse to while protecting people who broke into our country illegally.

We've gone down the rabbit hole.

The Obama Administration filed suit on Monday against the state of Alabama’s enforcement of its newly passed immigration law.

The suit challenges H.B. 56, a law set to take effect in September that enforces some of the toughest immigration efforts in the nation. If put into effect, H.B. 56 would enforce the detention of undocumented workers, school children and anyone police suspects of being "illegal."

"If allowed to go into effect, H.B. 56's enforcement scheme will conflict with and undermine the federal government’s careful balance of immigration enforcement priorities and objectives" Obama administration lawyers said.

Our government is out of control

Careful balance? What's the "objective"? Add grateful voters to the pool?

Seriously. It's long been mind boggling to Bob Dole that there are all these illegals attending public schools, but the schools apparently aren't allowed to report them to INS...

EVERYTHING that piece of shit in our White House does is geared towards getting re-elected. Garnering the hispanic vote here.
How the hell can they say illegals are the Fed's job when the feds don't do the job?
Get this entire administration out now.

I have never understood how taking a laid back approach to illegal immigration leads to getting more Hispanic votes.

You know, the Republicans control the House. They could write and pass a bill just like the AZ/GA/AL/UT etc. schemes and get rid of the whole "patchwork of state laws" issue. But they don't. It's almost like they think they would lose votes or something.

A very large % of the hispanic voting population are extremely sympathetic to the plight of the illegals. The majority have a relative or friend or know someone who is illegal.
Not enforcing immigration law=not deporting their relative/friend/other=hispanic vote.

People that think they are being clever when they are not are sometimes amusing.
And sometimes not.

That makes sense.

I kind of figured that those most likely to lose their job to an illegal would be non-illegal Hispanics, which I also figured would lead to lower sympathy for illegals.

That and it's not hard to convince a subset of a population that there are people "out to get them" just for being a certain ethnicity.

I have never understood how taking a laid back approach to illegal immigration leads to getting more Hispanic votes.

One side wants open borders, and for people to arrive and receive beaucoup entitlements like housing, health care, education, and if they could get away with it, easy citizenship and voting rights.

Who wouldn't vote for the side that wanted to legalize you and everyone you know who wants to leave the shithole country you are from and join you in the US to run up a first world tab on everyone else's dime? Who wouldn't vote for the side that says, even if you get arrested, we'll just release you and not deport you?

One side says you're a criminal for being here illegally, one wants to give you a free apartment, health care, an EBT card, cellphone in some places... its common sense.
