Ricky Sapp | Defensive Lineman

<table id="cp1_ctl00_tblPlayerDetails" style="width:100%;"><tbody><tr><td align="left">Team: </td><td align="left">Philadelphia Eagles (http://www.rotoworld.com/teams/clubhouse/nfl/phi/philadelphia-eagles)</td></tr><tr><td align="left">Ht / Wt: </td><td align="left">6'4' / 252</td></tr><tr><td align="left">Age / DOB: </td><td align="left">(24) / 11/14/1986</td></tr><tr><td align="left">College: </td><td align="left">Clemson</td></tr><tr><td align="left">
</td><td align="left">
</td></tr></tbody></table> Eagles waived DE Ricky Sapp.
Sapp reported back to camp a day after leaving without an excuse. Upon return, he was informed he'd be waived. Once a dominant pass rusher at Clemson, knee injuries have left Sapp with little explosion in his legs. Perhaps a team will claim him on waivers, but it's hard to imagine that he'd have much to offer. Aug 5, 3:51 PM

No thanks. I have no clue why you would leave without giving any excuse. This isn't a fucking minimum wage job that you're leaving.

why ... is there mega thread i missed for general NFL news too?Oh no , I wasn't being critical about that. I was more just curious why you thought it was important enough to post. As in he seems like a pretty obscure player. Wasn't he a late-rounder who missed all of last year with a bad knee injury or something?

Eagles are stocked, they don't need him.

Originally they had him as a possible 1st round draft pick until his knee got hurt.

it wasn't particularly important

Yeah, he was hyped quite a bit prior to the 2010 draft. I had kind of wanted us to take a flyer on him. I think I picked him up in the "Alternative Reality Chiefs" game that Rainman runs. Chalk up one more bust to my draft strategy.

So, I guess the Sapp doesn't fall far from the tree?

Maybe he fronted Houston some weed and heard that he signed his contract. He went to get his front money.

That's my theory.
