I want to give a major props to Jason. My ABS light has been on and my wife happened to be driving through the town Jason lives in and Jason was kind enough to agree to hookup an ABS code scanner and read the code for me for no cost. Not only did he scan the code, he found out it was a quick and easy fix and went ahead and fixed it within minutes. All for someone he's never met.
Jason, thank you! You are the best mechanic ever. You are the Stanzi of mechanics. The Boomer Grisby of all things auto. Everyone, give Jason some rep for me, he deserves it.

What was the problem?

Trade secret...

Really though it was a broken wire where they flex when the front wheel turns side to side.
Pretty common on a GM product.

I bet most shops would have installed a new hub assembly and repaired the wire while replacing it.

I worked got a guy like that for about an hour once...

Also stevie you should check the vacuum advance, pretty sure it would have one being that old, could be the issue also.

ya, it's only got 50k, but it did sit for awhile...it's the only issue with the car...

no kidding, when I pulled the stock wheels off to do the brakes...the threads looked brand new.

I meant old as in model year lol.

On a car that has sat it is pretty common for that to hang up.

He lives an hour north of me, but I'd never take an automobile anywhere else. Good, honest, mechanics are hard to come by.

I would, but my 04 Malibu Classic (i.e., CF) wouldn't get me there.
